In all fairness though, businesses outside the US have to try to make up for the losses caused by the low Dollar in one way or another, and since we Europeans would actually be saving money compared to say two years ago if we were also still charged the typical $29.95, I guess charging us a higher price is the only semi-"fair" way of making up for some of those losses.
I'm not denying that $41 can seem like a fairly steep price compared to what we were used to - but personally I still usually think it's well worth the money for access to a good paysite.
I've been buying a few porn DVDs recently (as collector's item), and for the price of two of those - with perhaps a total of 8-10 scenes - I could get several hundred scenes in HD resolution on some of those "overpriced" paysites.
In fact I usually take an objective stance in terms of pricing, and when it comes to paysites I frankly consider even the highest prices a bargain compared to the amount of content you usually get even on mediocre sites (and obviously there's no reason to settle for mediocre in the first place).
I'm certain many would vehemently disagree though :p. |
