The other day I caught a bit of that CNBC special on porn and I saw the end of the part about dedicated set-top porn players. I missed most of the segment but they mentioned this thing at fyretv.com. You get a free player with remote that hooks up to your tv and works with your internet connection through wi-fi. It looks like it's only $10 a month(not unlimited). It doesn't seem that bad to me. I have to say it's not practical for a guy who doesn't live alone to have a porn media player hooked up to the TV, but it's cool for a single guy. I don't know anything about the video quality, library, billing issues or fine print details though. Most guys here are computer savvy enough to get their porn content playing on their TVs through different methods, but I might try this service out if it were unlimited. Anybody know anything about it. It came out last year I believe. Forgive me if this has already been discussed. Somebody can just show me the thread. | |

Many people seem to hate vista, and on some news article I read the other day they referred to it as a flop or something. I never had any problems with vista. I will wait until next year to get windows 7 or whenever I get a new desktop, whichever comes first. | |

I'm pretty good at ignoring watermarks. I have noticed that watermarks really irk some people here. There have been a few times where the watermark has gotten in the way in vids for me though. I can't recall which sites right now. | |

I was thinking about the exact question again.
So let's say there is a porn website and we know we can get all the current content at the same quality the site offers in some sort of free download elsewhere. That would make it more difficult for me to want to pay. In that case here are only two reasons why I would pay. First, if it were much, much more convenient to download from the original paysite. And second, if I really loved the content and had positive feelings toward the company and felt I should give my support. I wouldn't feel that bad "stealing" porn from a site that grossly overcharged, ripped people off or just provided mediocre content. Admittedly it might not be right to steal something I have some use for, however IMHO some things are not worth one dime no matter how much money or time was put into them. But this is just hypothetical because like I said before the amount of pirated porn you can find on the net is nowhere near the amount of pirated movies and CD out there. The library at Videobox and the like is larger, much easier, quicker and better than the DVD rips you might find on torrents. Sometimes paying is the better deal. | |

Why pay for porn? 1. The free stuff just gives you a small taste and it's lower in quality. 2. When it comes to he pirated stuff like newsgroups and torrents, your choices are limited. You can only get the stuff that others have posted and you can manage to find. Porn is not like music where every new CD gets released on a torrent a week before it hits the store. 3. It's just easier to join a website be downloading gigs of porn in no time. In addition to having to hunt for free porn, the downloads aren't as fast. 4. In addition to the "cyber-annoyances" drooler mentioned, it's just riskier surfing free sites than legitimate porn sites. Those free sites have no accountability so you're more likely to encounter scams and malware. 5. I don't see how someone with a porn addiction could resist paying for porn, especially on the internet. You need more and you need it now. Back in the early to mid 90's, before video was common, free was the way to go. There had to only be a few pay porn sites, and most people were still afraid to use their credit card online. You could go on a bbs, chatroom or newsgroup and be bombarded with pics in no time. You had to go through everything and delete the really disgusting stuff or duplicates, but that was part of the fun. Now we have thousands of sites offering HD video through our broadband connections. There's a lot of good stuff out there to be bought and it's cheaper than what people used to pay for VHS tapes. | |

I agree, get a new email. Nevermind passwords, email addresses themselves need to be kept secret these days. Once somebody unscrupulous has your email address you get spammed and spoofed. I find that Yahoo mail, isn't as good as others in preventing spam. I used to get spam emails from people sent 5 years into the future in my yahoo inbox. Really pissed me off. | |

The thought of having a keylogger on your computer is terrible. I'd feel so violated. Seriously. If you do have a keylogger you can just reinstall your OS. If you have your installation disks, or your rescue disks, or some computers these days have a rescue partition built in, you could use those. I know what you mean about not wanting to take your computer to geek squad. I would never do that, I'd be to embarrassed by the sheer amount of porn on my computer. They would think I was a serial killer if they saw how much I had. They probably just got in you email through some worm that spread through address books or something. probably no big deal. | |

lk2, if I were you I'd change my email pass immediately. Then I'd change it again from a different computer, like at work or something. The reason I say that is that there is still a small chance you have a keylogger installed. | |

What's up with this "Do you want to navigate away from this page?" pop-up that some of the shittier sites have been using lately? You close the page or click on a link and then this alert comes and asks you if you want to leave! You click cancel instinctively because you don't read normally these things, but cancel is the wrong answer. Click okay to leave, cancel to stay just like it says. Half the time they you'll get a pop-up for adult friend finder or some other ad. Probably installed a trojan too, who knows. Don' ask me if I want to leave. Of course I want to leave. I clicked the "X" didn't I?! | |

Definitely not nichey enough. I don't even think it would warrant a single video title dedicated to this niche. I'm sure I've seen a scene or two that which would fit this, but I probably didn't notice the differences in complexion. My advice to you is to just look for all scenes from actress you know are light skinned and maybe the dude they are with fits what you're looking for. | |

Yeah you guys might be right. This isn't the type of movie that is highly profitable these days. It also must not be that stellar because if the distributors thought they had a film with possible oscar nods then somebody would snatch it up. I do think the subject matter is slightly controversial though here in the States and that's a factor. The message board for this movie on IMDB is burning up. I think no matter what once a movie is already shot, it's worth it to give it at least a limited release and promotion. Otherwise it will be even tougher to get people to buy/rent the DVD. But then again from what I hear film companies are not against letting films lose money to write-off. | |

Have you guys heard about this new movie about Charles Darwin? The name of the film is Creation and it stars real life married couple Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly as Charles and Emma Darwin. Well I don't think I'd pay 8 dollars to see it in a theater or anything, but I had never heard of it until yesterday when Rachel Maddow mentioned it on her show. It's already in theaters in most of Europe, but apparently they can not find a distributor in the United States. It's 2009 and a film about the family life of Charles Darwin is too controversial for the US!! I understand why film distributors are afraid to touch this film. Most Americans are not backward Christian hicks who think the earth was literally made in 6 days, however the few that are can really raise a stink. They're actually not in the majority, but they are good at boycotting, spreading misinformation through email, calling into radio shows and getting media attention by holding up misspelled protest signs.(SEE ALSO 9-12 movement) Looks like we'll have to wait for the DVD release. | |

Sorry, that stinks man. I hope I didn't steer you wrong there. I didn't have any problem with broken downloads that I remember. You might want to leave a comment on the page for their site here at PU. A webmaster has replied before. Granted that was a year ago, but maybe they don't like the public shame and will do something about it. If it's a temporary problem and they fix it, I think they should credit your account for the days you've been a member so far. If they aren't going to fix the broken links they owe you a full refund. I think you guys have a point there. I have joined dozens of sites just for one scene of one girl. Normally I find more content in there that I like making it worth the money. But I don't need it. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but I would hate to see all sites operate this way. We all have sites in which we want and download all the content. It will be a shame when the days of grabbing gigs and gigs of vids from a site for only $25 is over. | |

I think the only thing I love as much as porn is movies. But I only watch movies at the theater in special cases. Usually when it's a movie I've been dying to see since I heard about it month and months earlier, movies I don't want to have to wait to see. In the past few years the Harry Potter films are the only movies I absolutely couldn't wait to see. Anything else I'll wait for it on DVD or even premium cable. I agree that the whole movie theater experience ain't what it used to be. Part of it has to do with the type of movies produced today and the current costs, but mostly times have just changed. | |

David lynch wanted to drag the suspense of who killed Laura Palmer out for a lot longer(maybe forever), but the network forced him. I would have gladly watched more. I believe he also quit working on the series halfway through the second season. | |

Ah Twin Peaks. I second that recommendation. I finally watched the series about 2 years ago and I loved it. Seriously, I think that the first season of twin peaks has to be the best season of a television show ever. It got a little weird in the second season though. You could check out the feature film Fire Walk With Me after you watch the series. It's not great, but just okay. It's a prequel that might spoil some of the plot if you haven't seen the entire series. | |

I don't know that sharing hurts that much. For the most part there are two kinds of people, those that will pay for porn and those that will not. Those that pay for it, want top quality, they are specific about what they want and they want it now. Those that won't pay aren't so picky and if they couldn't get it for free they just wouldn't watch much porn. The same thing goes for music. I was never really one to buy music, but now that it can be downloaded free(pirated) I have lots of music. If they totally cracked down on music downloads, I'd go back to buying 1 or two CD's a year, or worse, 1 or 2 song downloads a year. I didn't do newsgroups much, but there was a time that I used to do peer-to-peer. The overwhelming majority of stuff in there was crap, but I did notice a few watermarks on the clips I liked and they led me to sites that I ended up purchasing from. | |

Stockings look so much nicer, but pantyhose can be good. I can understand how the look of a women naked except pantyhose can be unsexy to some people though. I think pantyhose is more of a fetish thing. Stockings are pretty mainstream. Almost everybody would agree that stockings look good on women even if it's not your thing. Damn. After seeing the first two guys, I think others like me would be ashamed. Mine is cluttered with folders and text docs with a black background. In a related story, I remember on some message board about cars or bodybuilding or video games or something a kid posted his desktop and you could clearly see a folder labeled "Shemale Movies." Anyway, they clowned the guy forever and the thread went on for pages and pages. It must have been so embarrassing. It wouldn't have been so bad for me personally, but he probably had to quit. Just be careful is what I'm saying. I don't know how it ended, I hope he didn't kill himself. | |

If it's a php then try left clicking instead. Depending on your browser(i use firefox with flashgot) and settings it may ask you how you want to handle the file, download, open or flashgot. Then you can choose use your download manager. The problem is some file types, like wmv open in the browser, so if you left click it will do that. In that case you have to rename the file. If you use free download manager sometimes the actual file name will be in the comment. | |

I'm excited about the new Harry Potter too. About the runtime.... I could stand for them to be a bit longer, but I think they are about right for kids films. The second film was 2 hours and 40 minutes. They are playing it right now on Family channel stretched out to 4 hours with damned commercials. Most movies are 1 hour and 35 minutes probably so the can be played on TV later in a 2 hour block with limited edits. | |

Illegal to profit from porn in Victoria? I had no idea they were that way about sex in Oz. I thought only America had that puritanical thing. What the hell took them so long to bust them then? I need to monitor this thread too. My netflix queue has been empty for 2 weeks. I just changed from 3 out to 1 out because I feel like I've watched eveything I want to see. My recommendation would be television series too. Check out the shows that aired on premium channels like HBO or Showtime that you may not have been subscribing when the shows were running. | |

The VOD is what I meant. Every unlimited rental plan lets your stream videos though your web browser. Some companies make set top boxes that you can use to watch on your TV. I'm looking for more functionality than just a netflix player. Also I'd be interested in one that plays Hulu and youtube too. I might as well just build a media center PC if I want all this functions. It really isn't that much to ask for though. The technology isn't anything crazy. I've been using my old modded original XBOX for sometime now to play media, but it can't handle the latest HD videos. Thanks for filling us in on the popcorn hour player. | |
