Denmark is much different from Gemany regarding carholds, becouse ot uou taxsystem. In Denmark the majority of cars are in the smaller segment (the midsize SUVs, too) and it's Japanese, Korean, French and some German - we have the highest (and crazy) tax-system for cars here, so they are expensive. That tax is 180% of the factory-price - and everybody hates it - but no government has been able to change that... BTW: Did you ever visit that little place in West Texas: Terlingua - at Big Bend Natinal Park down by Rio Grande, WOW - and gary P. Nunn made a great song just about terlingua Nights - visited a great 'dancehall' there called 'Starlight Theater' with good live rock - the wife and I drove back in the night - only stars to show the way back to this little run down motel called 'Easter Egg Valley Motel' - I'll never forget that night..... 15. What are the main things you look for when reading the reviews of fellow PU's? Look for infos about video quality, the amount, special deals, the warnings, the amount/regularity of updates - and quality/navigation in general. 16. Do you have a life goal or something special you'd like to accomplish? Oh, yes: Want to keep my marriage going, my wife happy, the dogs content, keep the kids on the right track - AND not end up as a poor old man - you can be young and poor - but not old and poor... 17. Can you tell us about any special skills or talents you may have? Been told that I’m pretty good at raising/training dogs - had them all my life - they all turned out nice, friendly and obeying - they always have to know who’s in charge - but in a kind way - if I ever see someone beating og kicking a dog - I’m close to whip that persons ass…. 18. Can you tell us about any moment (or incident) in your life that you are especially proud of? Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd (the old band), Gram Parsons, Mickey Newbury, David Allan Coe (the first 15 years), Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck, Emmylou Harris, Tanya Tucker and not to forget the legendary George Jones - funny most of this music gets even better after a few beers - and in my younger days a couple of joints, too - but quit those. First, you guys: Have patience with me - about that deal with the language - English is certainly the second here, but I try....and stick to my dictionary: 1. In general, can you tell us what kind of work you do? Been working in the media - newspaper, magazines and some television for 25+ years - as a journalist/reporter/researcher. But just recently skipped the steady jobs and went freelance and said good bye to that rat race my line of work was. So now I get by on that freelance basis doing press realeases for a couple of companies (that's where some money is) - but also (and much more fun) writing travel articles and special feature for Danish and Norwegian magazines. Oh, yes - and be my own photographer for these articles. 2. Is there anything noteworthy about your education? Did journalism and history at the university - but I'll say any day: Journalism is not an academic trade - it's more like beeing a craftsman - there are some very simple first hand rules which stars with: How, when, where, why and who - get the answers to those and give all that info to the reader of a newstory in the first couple of lines - then the ongoing digging for infos - and then you can play Shakespeare.. But ok, the research is still the most importent part - AND you got to have your own, personal sources - thats where you get the solo stories. 3. What kind of car do you drive ... and is it the car you'd like to be driving? I drive a Honda midsize SUV - took out the backseats and made room for security-cages for our dogs - two German Shepherds - no need for backseats anymore - the kids have grown and left the building. 4. Do you drink? If so, what's your favorite drink? Oh, certainly. The wife loves redwine, but I'm into beers - and good booze. Those belgian and czech beers are great, even the danish beer can cope - but like to get my hand on that (here in Scandinavia rare) american beer too: Miller, Micheloab - and maybe a can of Coors. And the booze: Rare vodka (Finland makes some great Vodka) and tequila - can do with José Cuervo, too. nostromo - I know the feeling/the deal - but no matter if english is not your (or my) national/first language: do not give a damn - do your reviews/comments ect. in the way you like - fighting with some translation to english. I think/know most/a vast majority of fellow PUs are aware of those facts - and give us a chance. If a few don't: that's their problem.... AND there seems to be a number of fellow PUs who have those skills - in different areas, so just a suggestion: Would it be an idea/possible/reasonable to have a special 'tech-thread' here at PU - and is it ok with our hosts? Oh, oh agree - there are still - and maybe a growing number of scenes with great audio - but most - that I've seen/watched are solo-videos - for instance a couple made by Jana Cova (at Twistys/Stunners), some at Aziani and even DDF have solo videos now with great audio/dirty talk by the model.. A very good question! Personally I never really got the hang of that so called "Top Rated" at PU (never use it) - and I certainly agree with Goldfish, that it's somewhat strange - and very much so compared to TBP toplists and PU reviews in general. If I look at these ten tops, I'm confused - AND do not feel that some here are "worthy of their position"....(like Goldfish asks) But why does PU have that particular list - and what does our friends at TBP/PU expect that PUs can gain from it? - I think there are so many better "lists" at both TBP and PU... I'll agree on most here from exotics - just one item: I honestly do not think that the majority of regulars/veterans have any serious grudge against those newbies 99-100 reviews. Most experienced PUs know the excitement - and remember it from their own start at pornsites: That old WAUW-feeling! And we can all live with that - the deal here is still those non-detailed reviews with one or two lines where you just get two main inputs: This is great or this is shit - and no detailed explanation - what is the use of that? I'd guess that most on these so called reviews are NOT in harms way done by people close to siteowners/webmasters... Did not know that (lordy, lordy for a regular/veteran/old timer - am I slipping?) Actually, I did not know that TBP/PU-staff interfered with the length ect. in those reviews in question. They (reviews with one or two lines at pros/cons/bottom line) often stay on the PU day after day - and SOMETIMES some 'regulars/veterans' makes a reply - most in the direction of 'more details, please'. This (the thread) was - in my opinion - an example of 'newbies' doing a review and the replies, the way we/regulars/veterans answers newbies ect. With good reason, in my opinion. 2) It turns out, that the (new) PU behind this review apparently has made or plans to make other reviews under a different name - WHY? 3) Ok, now someone (here: badandy) spoke out here - and then this (new) PU in question states, that he/she won't do anymore reviews. I think the speak out by both badandy and pinkterton is friendly and maybe guiding the way it should be for so called regulars/veterans... Generally PU-members has been, yes: friendly in at least 90 % of all replies towards some VERY short reviews made by so called newbies - review that - like in this case - is generally NOT a very big help for others here. OK - some of us 'veterans' makes looooooong reviews - but - again generally - I want a lot of facts and also opinions about sites I've never been at before - that's the kind of help that's importend to consider a new site to join... Am I the only one still using Netscape? Use Netscape ONLY for the porn - everything else is Firefox (latest). Netscape has this easy way of watching clips WHILE/during downloading! Explorer can't do that (forget about Explorer in any way) - and Firefox has this strange thing with showing more files at your HD while downloading - (maybe because I'm tech ignorant?). Though this whole deal with the palaver/drama/miss-hybrid- something ect. is almost history - one thing is still on my mind: We regulars/veterans or whatever did the main defend of a decent PU. About this latest palaver/drama ect. I really dig The Squirrel remark/line: "They moved in like a professional military operation" But, amigos - it's gone - and - soon forgotten - and in the future we're more prepared. NEWBIES - is it here. I think we all - and I do not like the phrase elitists - I choose regulars or veterans - have always been friendly and social towards so called newbies (we've all been newbies, once) . But like the Drooler states; we're a lot of different folks here with different attitudes - but the main thing: As far as I remember there has always been a 90 % friendly conversation at PU - hope it stays that way. WHEN one or two so called newbies get more serious remarks, it's normally because of reviews that to some of the "regulars/veterans" seems a little bit too much on "the easy side". I think most here can agree, that we've seen reviews that are either not well founded or are given way to high scores compared to the value in general. BUT we do not blame newbies for being breath taken by a site - only if it seems too far out or just not realistic - so we got the TRUST thing. AND: No, we're not chasing away newbies, but there's no harm in placing a reply to maybe a bit strange newbie reviews - replies that are both friendly and guiding. Before I take a break here - from these a bit tiresome and not very constructive threads (you all know what they are) - I'd like to praise our friend, exotics4me for his research and inputs. I'm 100 % behind you, amigo! I look forward to less drama and trouble here at PU - and to more porn and some cosy/fun off topic threads, too ... ect. Life is too short for this shit... We've had some threads and input concerning the relationship - if there is any - between us PornUsers - and the webmasters/siteowners. You've all seen those threads, I guess - and in my opinion we're close to a 'mexican standoff'. - NOT generally, though, but at a certain point. I was born with a kind of a common sense, I believe - with a healthy suspicion - sometimes things do not seem right - for one we have this old 'TRUST' system which is very fine - also regarding webmasters/siteowners who have friends or whatever - to place very favorable reviews. I'am glad to see, that most of our fellow PUs are aware of that - but I'm also glad, that it's quite rare, that we experience that kind of cheat. Most webmaster here are - I think - honest folks... But to keep this PU alive and well, it's so damn important, that we got that integrity - and fight any attempt to score some cheap points - by using friends ect. to make top-score reviews. BTW: How many well founded and non anonymous 'no trusts' have we seen lately? Oh, The Squirrel came up with one - and I think - well founded. OK, Mbaya got a point - except I'd really do not care to read an interview with miss Hybrid - no need anymore - enough have been said here! But - IT COULD/MIGHT BE INTERESTING - to get some details from some of the most joined sites (as a start). Like MetArt - because of the incredible amount of new models, VideoBox - because there's been A LOT of both pros and cons here, how 21st Sextury did the new network, the problem at first and so on - just take a pick from TBP: Top Porn Sites.... Has Miss Hybrid found herself a fine place at PU to do some marketing for her site? Noticed, that at least two of the three very fine PU-reviews comes from UK...(The third has not stated country) - maybe it's just a coincidence?????????? All webmasters can participate here along with us ordinary users and customers of different paysites - that's how it's got to be...... But why do I sense a strange smell here?  As much as I love fine porn - I still can't get over how some clips seems to reflect the 'state of mind' of some pornstars - the things they say and the way the do it... I do not expect pornstars to be professors or top actors, but some audio/speak ect. of some pornstars turns me OFF... An exampel: just downloaded the latest clip from Danni.com with the(once) beautiful Lela Star (before she covered the entire back with tats) - and it's the first time, that I really hear her speak out for herself - literally. And, wauw - that audio deal is so stupid and so embarrassing, that I wish she'd just not say a word - only moan... Acting is probably not easy - but if you can't do it - just drop it.. Been kind of low on inputs lately - but coming back one thing I noticed: Quite a few of PUs have this cross sale problem - see the latest reviews and comments. I follow you - first when you join, you have to fill out a lot of infos - so you might miss that little no-good deal where the site - not the billing co. - have this pre-crossed sales deal - and that's one thing you might miss - in the hurry to get at the site. Generally it's shitty - to make those pre-crossed sales - because you get to pay something extra - BUT the worse is, that you do not find the easy way to cancel that particular site - pre-crossed. Think that's quite common - you have great expectations about a chance to meet a pornstar, moviestar, rockstar and what not - because they blew your mind to some extend, or your're just a big fan. And then they're in front of you, wauw, just an ordinary person like the rest of us........or an asshole, a jerk, a weirdo, a snob or just plain nice. But meeting/talking to this person also changes your images of him or her forever. Positive or negative - or even just: So that was it??? The mystery is gone, maybe. Never met a real pornstar - met some rather nice scandinavian nude-models a long time ago - they were as people are most. AND made an interview with David Allan Coe years ago in Vicksburg, Mississippi in his bus after a small bar-concert at Duff's Tavern and Grill - invited me and the wife inside the tour bus for talks and photos. Messmer got a (the) point here: All those porn sites/and others with sudden crazy warnings about viruses and what not: Do not give a damn - if you got your pc well protected. It's all a scam from different parts - but again - like messmer states: Take really good care of mails with those exe and doc files - DO NOT CLICK on them - unless your're very certain about the content and who send it...
