Almost at retirement age, I've been programming computers since '64. The early computer porn was definitely softcore, printouts or screen images constructed with alpha characters, XO@. Nobody was too concerned out the PCness of it all till the early 80s. The the discrimination suits started and the offices started to get cleaned up.

The reviews at least try to be honest. I have not seen any bickering or sniping at the reviewers. Of course, to each his own and we all have different tastes.
I have used some reviews to go and subscribe to the reviewed sites. I have also used some reviews to decide to stay away from some sites.

In the past I would subscribe to sites on an annual basis, and some are worth it. After learning how little material some sites have I have started doing just one month and quitting after downloading everything.
I now have a list of sites that I really like and maintain an annual and others that are not worth supporting or even visiting often that I subscribe to for just one month and leave.
In the past there were sites that would make fraudulent charges, but I think those are gone now.
