Good details. I would have considered it, given its relatively low price, until I saw that it is lacking in video content and is completely non-nude. Those two facts turned me off from this site completely.

- Actress names should be assigned by scene and not by DVD. Often the screencaps are too small to figure out who is in what scene
- It would help if file names reflected the movie titles
- Some scenes, despite being downloaded at the high quality level, are very poor quality
- Download speeds varied wildly: as fast as 1MB/sec down to less than 50KB/sec |

For a giant DVD repository, DVD Box is pretty good. It has a few flaws, such as the unreliable updates and the poor searching for actresses or movies. Also, the quality of the movies (in terms of content) varies wildly from one DVD to the next. There is also a large focus on fetish (latex, primarily) and gay films so that may be a turn-off for some members.
However, despite those reservations, the site is a good deal. I would only join for a month so that I can peruse the collection and download the scenes that I want. Thankfully, there is no DRM, so I can keep the downloaded movies as long as I want. I have found, though, that I usually delete the scenes I download from DVD Box after I watch them, unlike from VideoBox, where I find myself archiving a lot of scenes.
I guess that comparison is inevitable: VideoBox is the 500 lb. gorilla of the DVD archive sites. When I compare DVD Box to VideoBox, I prefer VideoBox for its more frequent updates and newer titles. However, DVD Box does include more fetish and "off-the beaten path" movies. It's good for a change of pace. Therefore, I recommend that you give DVD Box a try. |

- Scenes can only be downloaded in parts. As with some other PervNetwork sites, each scene is usually broken up into 6 parts regardless of length.
- Photo galleries do not include a zip file or download all function.
- Even cable quality videos are limited to 400x300 resolution and are not very clear.
- Price is high for so little content. |

While quite beautiful, I'm not usually attracted to European women. Don't get me wrong, there are a number of hot Europeans that I love to look at: Keeley, Monica Sweetheart, and Lucy Lee to name a few. I also love how most Euro women are so open to anal sex. But, in general, I'm not a Euro-woman guy.
That being said, this site is terrible for a completely different reason: only 15 scenes and no updates since 2004! I visited this site via the PervNetwork and I'm still disappointed with it. This is the only Euro-themed site on the network and it has obviously been neglected. I would have rated it lower, but the fast downloads and access to other PervNetwork sites are (slightly) redeeming qualities.
I would never join this site on its own. I would also recommend that people looking for Euro sex look elsewhere. There simply isn't enough content on this site. As for those on the fence about PervNetwork, I wouldn't use this site to help make my decision. I would pretend that it doesn't exist and only accept it as a bonus once you make up your mind. |

I was fortunate to catch pat362's post about the special trial for the site. I joined only for the trial, but was able to sample the entire site. There are a lot of great-looking young women on the site. (My personal faves are Bulle and Cally.)
I really liked the Temperature Gauge feature. It ranges from Soft to XXX (1 to 5) and gives a quick idea as to the level of intensity of the scene. My only issue is that some scenes that were rated 4 should have been 5. (Anal sex should count as XXX, no?)
Most videos are available in a wide variety of formats, including a higher resolution DivX (720 x 576). Downloads were very fast and compatible with download managers.
I also really liked the fact that the hi-res photos were downloadable in zip format. While not really compressed further, the convenience of downloading 1 file instead of 50 individual JPEGs is huge.
If I had not seen the $5 trial offer, I probably would never have joined Explicite-Art. I always thought of it as too much glamour photography and not enough hardcore. How I was wrong! There is definitely some XXX-worthy material available.
What prevents me from keeping my membership is the price. A site has to be extremely unique or part of a larger network for me to justify paying $30 a month. Does that mean it's a rip-off? No, but the content and price don't make it a value to me. |

I joined this site because I was intrigued with the content. After reading the TBP review, I thought that joining the trial would be a good way to see if I liked the content. Fortunately, I am only out $3 instead of $35.
This site has a few issues, many pointed out by the TBP team. First, it features old content and it is only available in a streaming format. A download option was available at some time (every scene has a section for download links, but the links have been removed). Also, the clips are only a couple of minutes each, giving the site a 1990s feel.
The site could have been redeemed by having a zip file option for its photo sets, but alas, no such luck. The photos were definitely not "high-res" but did feature lots of familiar pornstars.
All in all, I was really disappointed in this site and network. I'm just glad that I used the trial first. Try this site at your own risk. I don't recommend it. |

I have seen a lot of FTV advertising on TGP-type sites. They usually only feature one model's photos and/or video clips. It would be nice to be able to find those models again without having to stare at the little thumbnail covers.
Otherwise, I agree with you about finding names I recognize vs. new models.

I completely agree with #2. I forgot that FTV doesn't have full vid downloads, either.
I hadn't really thought of #3, but I can see how that would be really annoying. It also smells of being cheap since the can advertise long movies when it's really the same thing for big chunks at a time.

I enjoyed my membership to this site. I have been getting further into BDSM and this site fulfilled a nice niche in my life. I particularly enjoyed the non-rope bondage since that doesn't really do anything for me. On the other hand, simple domination techniques were frequently featured that I enjoyed watching.
As I mentioned above, I was thankful for the large quantity of anal sex content. I like how it was integrated into the sex and bondage, such as having the girl over a sawhorse with a hook up her ass tied to her hair while fucking her pussy. (Yes, it's a fairly standard scene, but it is still very stimulating.)
My biggest complaint about this site is the lack of single file downloads for movies. Instead of giving me a zip file with the movie parts, just compile it into one file for me. The updates are only once a week, so there has to be enough time to do the processing.
All in all, I enjoyed the site. I'm just not enjoying have to encode all of these videos myself. |
