One was for $120 and the other two were for $100. Those charges showed up on the 20th and 21st (today) of February. I didn’t join any sites in the past few days. I haven’t even visited these sites since my memberships expired. I checked my email and I had confirmations for signing up to the three sites I had previously joined for six-month memberships. I contacted VXNBill and they were really helpful. They aren’t sure what happened but I wasn’t given a lot of pushback on cancelling the memberships and being promised a refund. The charge for today hadn’t gone through so they assured me that would be withdrawn before it got posted to my card. I’m not sure what happened. It seems unlikely that my card itself was hacked. In the past when my card gets hacked it gets used for consumer goods in far-away places. It seems unusual that if my card was hacked that whoever did it would buy memberships in my name. The confirmation emails didn’t include passwords so it is possible that there was a site hack. I haven’t cancelled the card yet but I will be checking it several times per day for the next while. A lot of members here put in a minimal effort. Back when I joined the reviews were fairly sparse but a few people put a lot of effort into their reviews and that made a lot more of us want to do a better job too. Your review is interesting and informative. It adds to the pool of information that we have as potential subscribers. I think one of the biggest advantages to PU/TBP is that we have a blend of 'professional' reviewers and then the 'amateurs.' The value in us amateurs writing reviews is that we likely spend a lot more time on a site and really get to dig in deep. For example, I've discovered download limits where TBP hadn't found any. That's no fault of theirs since they weren't downloading because they liked the porn and wanted to get everything in a short time. I'm down to writing one review per month these days and when I write one I've done a deep dive on the site AND spent a lot of time watching the scenes to give a thorough review. It isn't that I need to pay a bit more to get downloads, I just want to know that going in. BTW - I had this happen with a couple of Gamma sites too. Evil Angel and XEmpire. I joined each with a deal too good to refuse ($5 I think) but didn't realize that it was streaming only until after I joined. There was an option to upgrade there too. But I have to admit that if I looked closely enough I may have been able to find out that it was streaming only. But maybe not. I can't even say this is a case of 'buyer beware' if the buyer is subject to deceptive practices.
