Pros: -Huge amount and wide variety of content from Private, DDF and other well-known studios, also Bang-produced exclusive content. -Rich site functionality with good navigation and streaming options - can set point-of-interest markers on the streaming navigation slider. -Detailed scene information with links to model scenes, movie scenes and movies/series from the scene studio/producer. -Scenes can searched for and filtered by category tags. -Model index. -History page shows all scenes visited, you can create your own playlists in addition to Watch Later and Favourites. -Can like/unlike scenes, add to Favourites, Watch Later or other playlists (but see cons). -Plenty of HD content and 4K with reasonable downloaded file sizes (also 720p, 540 and 360p content dating back over a decade!) -Good download speeds with resumable downloads with a download manager and no limits. -Membership continues after Prime subscription expires, allowing you to browse new scenes (but see cons). -Good value. Cons: -Most content is not exclusive. -Some scenes missing model info, incorrect model(s) listed in some scenes. -Lots of duplicated content. -No photosets (doesn't bother me but worth mentioning). -Performance can be slow on older computers and browsers - performance is generally not great on older PCs with scenes taking a while to load. -Some pages don't load correctly, missing scene preview images. -Playlists (Favourites, Watch Later and custom lists) seem to be limited to 100 scenes (with no warning). -LIKEing a scene confusingly adds it to Favourites. -Poor editing of some scenes with ending cut too early, sometimes just before the cumshot! -Quirky site behaviour, particularly with adding or removing scenes to/from collections (see bottom line). -Models listed but have no scenes/content. -Ads. -Some older (not sharp) HD content encoded at excessive bitrates (some at 20Mb/s) so huge file size. Bottom Line: -A mega site with over 25000 movies from 261 studios, which make up in excess of 130,000 scenes. Where to start with content that dates back over more than a decade!? Content is a mixture of exclusive scenes produced by Bang and partners, the rest is produced by other studios and is included as movies. -The home page tells you how many videos you've watched, showing you a list of newly released scenes, with recommended scenes based on your viewing history. There are options for navigating and listing content: * a left-side menubar has links for new videos, trending, most popular, most liked and upcoming (early access with streaming only). * a BANG channels page lists 25 channels such as 18 and Extreme, 18 and Black, 18 Schoolgirlz, Mom and Abused, Amateurs, Anal Virgins and so on. * a categories sidebar of 67 unique categories such as anal, amateur, blowjob, teen, bbw, black, asian and so on. These channels are just glorified category filters for scenes, but are helpful for locating content you might be interested in. -Navigation is good, with scenes listed in order of latest release date and can be filtered by categories such as anal, DP and so on. The options for scene listing are: * thumbnail gallery of 32 scene thumbnails per page with mouse-over rolling screencaps. * detailed listing of 32 scenes per page showing six screencaps from each scene. * movie listing of 36 large movie thumbnails per page. The scene screencaps above provide a useful (if limited) scene preview, helpful in deciding whether or not to skip a scene. From scene listings you can add a scene to Favourites or Watch Later, you can also click on model name to browse their scenes. Scene listing also has a categories sidebar for filtering scenes, with applied categories listed at the top, allowing you to remove an applied category as desired. -Browsing a scene allows streaming and download of the scene, with streaming made easy with keyboard controls, allowing you to skip forward/back 10 seconds, as well as the usual scene navigation using the mouse which also shows thumbnails on the navigation slider to help you get to the good parts quickly. The scene page includes links to model's other scenes, to the movie, the movie series and to the producer/studio's other content, so it's easy to be lead down a rabbit-hole of scene browsing! -A very useful and necessary feature of the site are scene collections/playlists. There are Favourite and Watch Later playlists provided but you can create your own named ones, which is just as well because each playlist can contain a maximum of 100 scenes! There's no warning of that - if you add a scene to a playlist with 100 scenes, a random scene from that playlist will be silently dropped to make room for the one you've just added. As mentioned in cons, the collections functionality can be somewhat quirky: added scenes not always immediately appearing in the collection (whether Favourites, Watch Later or whatever) until after adding more scenes; also, removed scenes sometimes remain in the collection until some random time later on. Clicking the Like button in a scene adds it to the Favourites collection, which is unexpected and initially confusing. The final bugbear with the collections facility is that there's no indication from the scene page which collection(s) that scene has been added to, unless of course the scene is a favourite. All of this will probably only bother those folk with long-term memberships who are lovingly organising their favourite content. -How you navigate the huge amount of content will be your first decision. My initial approach was to do a search on my favourite porn models and locate all their scenes, then clicking on the scene series for anything of interest. I also filtered all of the scenes to find ones with my favourite categories, and again from each scene I'd look at other scenes from the same series. I don't know if that approach would work for all, but it was pretty quick and effective for finding scenes I liked, though the starting point of filtering scenes by favourite pornstars seems a good starting point. Be aware that when browsing a model's scenes, there are many duplicate/recycled scenes. -The site provides lots of other functionality: account settings allow you to switch on/off settings such as scene autoplay, dark theme, playlist toolbar, you can even set preferred categories or hide chosen categories for use in your default search and in scene filters. The setting to switch off ads (they're not very intrusive) seemingly does nothing. -Despite the gripes, I highly recommend this site, though if you already have a large porn collection, much of the content you may already have (as I found) but it's great site for exploring a wide variety of scenes that go back decades. Also finding a Prime membership deal is pretty easy, so it's also good value though I'd recommend a long-term membership if you want to browse all the content. Cons: -Only newer scenes have photosets. -Content is not exclusive. -Older content not available in HD (not a fault of the site but of the technology when the content was first shot). -You can search for a model for whom no content exists - where's the point in that?. -LIKEing a scene adds it to your favourites, causing some confusion. -Some older HD content is unnecessarily encoded at very high bit rates (such 18Mb/s), meaning huge files, even though the content itself isn't that sharp or detailed and so doesn't benefit from a high bit rate. -A lot of duplicate content with different scene names and titles, usually easy to spot as long as you browse scenes by model's name because the screencaps are the same or similar. I weeded out over 50GB of duplicate downloaded content, thanks to investing in a duplicate files finder. -There's just too much content to easily digest! (though maybe not a bad thing). -Advertising, though it's not too intrusive imho. Bottom Line: -Bang.com is essentially a mega site, much like Videoz and Videobox - in fact some of the older content here I've previously seen on Videobox over 6 years ago. Some of the content is over 10 years old. -I really like the navigation options: scenes have links to model(s), the movie the scene comes from, the series the movie belongs to and the studio, meaning that related content is very easy to browse if you find something you like - this makes it easier to find content you're interested in, for example, if I view a creampie scene that I like, it links to the movie called Creampie Girls Vol 4 listing all scenes, which in turn links to the series Creampie Girls which lists all the movies in the series. The only problem with that flexibility is that you can get lost and forget what you were originally looking at. -You can browse models by country, though you have to click on a model's details first to get the country link. -Whilst most content in encoded at reasonable bit rates, I found quite a lot of HD content that's encoding at higher bit rates than is reasonable. I identified them and re-encoded them and saved over 22GB of disk space! Needless to say, 4K scene downloads are massive so you'll need plenty of storage for you porn collection. 4K downloads are encoded at around 60MB/s, 720p at 6Mb/s, 540p at 2.6Mb/s and 360p at 1.5Mb/s. Video frame sizes are 3840x2160, 1920x1080, 1280x720, 960x540 and 640x360 so there's plenty of choice for targetting your device screen size and/or your free storage space. The site is well-designed, responsive and works well, whether on a computer or mobile device. Site features such as the ability to download a scene from the scenes listing page (rather than via the scene detail page) and flagging a scene to watch later are very useful. The photo gallery works well and loads quickly because it only downloads the thumbnails that are visible in the browser window - as you scroll down, the visible thumbnails are quickly downloaded. Clicking a thumbnail displays the photo in an overlay on the same page, so it's quick and once in this mode, you can use the cursor keys to move back and forth through the gallery or mouse click on the left or right side of the photo to see the previous or next photo without resorting to the thumbnail gallery. Overall, my only real complaint with this site is the over-large download file sizes. The small amount of content isn't really an issue to me because what is there is high quality and generally the site is quick and easy to use.
