You are right, we have just finished the new encoding scheme using latest ffmpeg and settings and its far better.
We will be re processing all the old content in the new few months and it will all be reduced.
As for speed we have no throttling anymore and its on Highwinds CDN for all streams and downloads.
If anyone has any problems please let me know asap.

Thanx for your recent review. You`re obviously about 10 light years ahead of me, regarding the various technical aspects of a site. . .I was on this site for 3 months last year (April-June). Usually, I spent a couple of hours a day, viewing and downloading. I probably DL`ed 150-200 scenes. . . Never saw any "Upgrades" or "Downgrades". . .Never had slowing site problems, or disappearing videos. . . All my DL`s (no 1080`s) look as good, if not better than those from other sites. Has the site changed since last year? Or am just too dense to have noticed all this?
So, if you take a moment to explain what you meant by 1) a throttled user; 2)an upgrading site, 3)disappearing videos; and 4)how does the quality change if you`re more than a casual user?. . .Please dumb-down your answer into layman`s terms so I might understand it. Thanks.

Another method of reducing quality while keeping files large I've seen on multiple sites is "pan and zoom" manipulation. This is used on ZTOD and involved what appears to be the camera man moving. But upon frame by frame analysis the direction of movement does not matche the perspective changes.
For example. The Camera is moving to the right, but looking at an actresses arm in ratio to a further away object like the headboard it is obvious that the camera isn't actually moving or shaking. This extra movement consumes valuable bits (since portions of scene come in an out of frame).
I have videos encoded at one-sixth the size of ZTOD movies that are far better quality. This isn't to say all videos are bad from the site, but the quality will change if you are more than a casual user, and the UI is setup so you never can see the end of a video - and the beginnings are typically encoded well.
