I agree with you. I miss my grandpasfuckteens.com. I think that's why they split the network the way they did. This way you almost have to join both networks. I may do that one day but not for the near futur. I still find too few updatesd at 21sextreme to warrant the investment.

Sorry if you feel that your opinions aren't welcome here (don't know the story enough to comment) but I have no problem with people asking questions about sites.
Anyway, your are correct in that you don't get access to everything 21sextury has to offer. Don't know why they're doing it this way but I guess I can't bitch at having access to 40 decent sites.

the quality of the PDFs is excellent, you can zoom in - read the writing easily, very crisp. Definitely not scans. I'd say about 80% or so of the downloadable magazines are available in PDF, however they only have 40-60 or so of each magazine series (Private, Pirate, Triple X, Sex) and they have a few special editions. This is not their older material, the oldest magazine in each series was:
Sex 36
Triple X 45
Pirate 71
Private 180
Hope that helps, I'd wait to join until they make the improvements the Private Webmaster spoke of in his comment, it could get much better with just some navigation tweeks.

I mention the body type mostly as general information because I do think people who join this site are aware of the overall look of the performers.
I also find it a hit and miss kind of site but there are a couple of scenes that are so amazing that they make it worth it. I've had access to some fairly similar site as this one but this is a better one that those.
I haven't noticed that problem with the updates but I'll keep my eyes open the next time I'm logged in.

Yeah I can confirm this (the 720x480 resolution that is). See, I got confused. Not only does the DVD download button say 640x480, and not only do the screencaps look squeezed, but when you view the stream (click "Play Now") the image in the flash viewer is squeezed.
Seems like it doesn't affect the DVD resolution (which of course you gotta pay extra for, $15 vs $10), but it affects the lower resolutions of "High" and "Med" (they come in at 480x352 and 320x240, respectively), and the image for both of them look squeezed.
Fortunately, you can use VLC and force the aspect ratio to be 16:9 (mind you this is what film makers do...feature films are recorded in widescreen on 35mm by 35mm film, meaning they are squeezed to fit 35x35, and then the projector expands it to widescreen). Problem is that VLC sucks with WMV, sucks in comparison to Windows Media Player (which doesn't let you modify the aspect ratio).

At the risk of spoiling the perception that we're some sort of encoding geniuses...we don't manipulate any file headers, as your suggesting.
We use a professional encoding platform. . .set the output based on a profile (in this case, 640 x 480) and that profile is set to maintain the native resolution of the underlying content. It's actually quite basic. The software handles the square pixel/round pixel conversions.
If you really want to get esoteric, go check out how many websites have not figured out how to consistently display both 16:9 and 4:3 screen caps. I'm sure you've noticed the distortion. Anyway, we actually letterbox all those manually, too. I suppose, eventually, when 16:9 content dominates our library, then we'll have to re-evaluate how we display our screen caps.
Yeah, our commentary can be terribly negative, even vicious. But it's usually well-deserved. And I think it legitimizes the movies/actors that we talk up positively.

While I'm not trying to get in the middle of a nice, spirited discussion. I will point one thing out that many folks probably aren't aware of.
720 x 480 on a DVD is the same as 640 x 480 on a computer. If you calculate the ratio, actually 640 x 480 is the true 4 x 3. The difference lies in round pixels versus square pixels. Without getting into it, one is a TV ratio and one is a computer monitor ratio, and they are essentially the same.
For 16 x 9 content, we encode using the same 640 x 480 but we preserve the widescreen ratio. Kinda like letterboxing.
Lastly, I agree that our editorial comments are not for everybody. They're crass, low brow, extremely profane but hopefully intellectual and insightful. Anyway, that's why they're stuck underneath at the bottom of the movie display - so you can ignore them if you wish.

I have just finished testing what you claim about the ability to compound genres in Videobox. I have used five different browsers to do so: Opera (my main browser), Firefox, Epiphany, Galeon and Midori. All were latest stable version.
Not one of them were able to reproduce the pattern which you describe. It may be that the pattern/ability you describe is specific to a certain operating system or browser (which in the case of Internet Explorer at least, is one and the same). Running this informal test on an Ubuntu 8.10 system is not reproducing the results you speak of.
If that feature is specific to a single browser or operating system, it is definitely a con against Videobox in my opinion. More oppinions on the matter are definitely welcome
The faulty aspect ratio is a bit puzzling, as I have watched movies in several different formats and aspects from Videobox in several players, including VLC, and I have not found any of them to have this problem. If you are running Windows, it may be due to an incorrect codec, but in the case of VLC, where the player has built-in codecs for almost everything, that is still really puzzling.

What I meant by compounding genres:
I find a clip of an Asian brunette in a gangbang performing double penetration, blowjobs and cumshots. I have never seen the actress before, but she is HOT! and I want to see if I can find more of her. Having no name, I have no way of finding this actress at Videobox. Except go through all those genres scene by scene and see if I find the actress that way. And that could be 10,000 scenes. If I could compound those six genres/tags into a more specialized listing, I could have as little as 20 scenes to choose from, with a much greater chance of showing one with the actress I want.
As for the exclusion of genres/tags, Videosz has that.
What, more specifically is your problem with the aspect ratio? You might send me an e-mail to explain and ask questions, or use the forum.

You got me there - joined last time less than two months ago - THEN they did not have that imidiate Euro 9.95 deal - but the same amount in $.
If you look at the "thumbnail" for the frontpage before clicking on the site here at TBP, it says: $ 9.95, but when you NOW click from a european destination, it's suddenly Euro 9.95...
I'm really supprised that also Video Box is going for that unfair conversion deal - so, that site is off for this user in the future - at leat til they get the charge back to the same/even amount in dollars.
Anyway I'll try to mail them about the euro-problem, but here I do not think it'll help ...
Anyway - it sucks.
