- It doesn't look like a network hub, but it is and it gives a better deal than the network it's on (see bottom line, this is going to get confusing).
- 3,444 videos on just Idols 69.
- Most of the best Japanese fetishes are at least represented here.
- Very good navigation from switching to site to site with one click and not having to sign in on each site to having around 60 categories and over 100 tags.
- Vendo is the biller and they've moved up to the CCBill and Epoch level of good billers.
- Idols 69 has some of Japan's prettiest models.
- Good download speeds (80% of max) and no download limits. |

I'm going to start out with the pro that said it would be confusing to explain. Idols 69, years ago, was a standalone site. It was the site you joined to see Maria Ozawa as they have 20 videos of her. All Japanese Pass then launched a few years later and they used to have Idols 69 included with it. The TBP review still lists Idols 69 as coming with the All Japanese Pass. Since my membership was expiring with All-Japanese Pass, I decided to join Idols 69 (it includes all the sites All-Japanese Pass has too).
An easy way to see that Idols 69 is no longer included with All-Japanese Pass is to look at the total network scenes. All-Japanese Pass has 12,931 scenes. Idols 69 and its network has 16,619. If you subtract those you get 3,688 less scenes with the All-Japanese Pass. Idols 69 shows it having 3,444, so that's where the majority of the missing scenes are.
The rest of the included sites are the same as All-Japanese Pass. I'm just going to focus the rest of this review on the Idols 69 content.
The big con most will find is the video quality. It's a questionable con for me just because this content is mostly better than the newer content coming out of Japan. It's not unlike American porn. The older scenes (10 years ago), are more creative, sometimes they are just plain dumb and more importantly, you get the beautiful AV Idol models. I can deal with lesser resolution. It's like choosing between a $100,000 sports car with no engine and nowhere to put an engine and a $25,000 car that will drive for decades. My reviews have been missing analogies. I'm a bit rusty.
Idols 69 covers all the bases with solo, male/female, group and of course, wacky, like the producer that got the bright idea to give a model an ice cream to masturbate with. It was hard to start. The originally draw for me to Idols 69 was Maria Ozawa, but it also has a lot of masturbation scenes. Masturbation and lesbian scenes are not as common in Japanese porn as American porn. My favorite "action" in porn is a female masturbating. That's where the censor/mosaic is a bonus.
Nearly all masturbation scenes start with a model in clothes, skirt, panties and they stay that way for more than 34 seconds like American porn sites do these days. The models tease themselves over their panties, they play around with the leg openings of the panties, hand down panties and this leads to the ever-elusive wet spot forming on the panties. I never claimed to be anything less than a pervert. That's erotic to me. When you consider how many solo porn sites bring out the critics saying the woman is not having an orgasm or is faking it, those wet spots could be faked but you can tell they are not. Not just from the wet spots but the nipples about to bust out of the bra.
I wasn't even into Japanese porn back when I joined Idols 69 in, I think, 2008 but I was into Idols 69.
They do have some scenes with kinkier parts. I think Japanese porn was the first porn I saw that had women rimming men. There are threesome scenes where one man is behind the woman and she's rimming a guy in front of her. There are some light "forced" scenes, like a husband holding his wife's arms while another man has sex with her.
This is one that dates my porn-using age. They have 293 photo sets on Idols 69. These are downloadable and they are some of the best picture sets online. The Japanese style of photos also varies greatly from the American style. Each set could easily be 3-4 sets. About 1/4 way through the set, the model is nude, then dressed in a new outfit and another 1/4 of the way through, she's nude again then another outfit. They could get me to join Idols 69 with zero videos. I would join it just for the photos. There's a lot of teasing in the photos. There's upskirts, panties, public, it just looks like they stopped doing the photos based on the difference in number of videos and photo sets.
I'm going to wrap up by saying I'll lower All-Japanese Pass by a couple points since joining through Idols 69 (same price) gives you everything All-Japanese Pass has and Idols 69 too. While this isn't the top of the Japanese sites, no subtitles hurts more than the video quality, in my opinion.
It still is a very good site and network especially for a newcomer to Japanese porn. It took me several years to get to the point where I, first, didn't mind the mosaic/censoring to now, where I actually prefer the censoring/mosaic. Which is why subtitles would help even more. These are mostly fun or quirky or weird scenes. Knowing what is being said would make them even better. |
