This is called a cross sale, and it's a special offer on the signup page, if you don't want it just uncheck the box, it very clear and not misleading at any point. The word "Swindling" in over the top for sure, as this practice is used on most all big websites to offer other sites at the point of sale.

It would be indeed "cross-sale" and "special offer" if checkbox is NOT pre-checked (like reputable sites and processors like CCBill do). If it is pre-checked, I name it swindling; sure, you can invent your own names. BTW, I'm pretty sure that my issuing bank will side with me in disputing this charge if I will ever fail to notice such small print (on payment page I was selecting some specific price, and was charged a different one, with amount actually being charged being NEVER shown to me; that should be enough for bank, VISA or court to revert this charge and put fines as well as punitive damages to processor and/or merchant).
