How do you know it was Devils Films that sold your e-mail address? Was it a matter of the most-likely candidate or are you one of those careful users that has a new email address for each sign-up?
I just realized I joined this network (through a different site) so you might say I have a vested interest in this. Though I doubt my inbox could get all that much worse, I still nuke about 60 spam a day.
In any case, thanks for the warning :-)

Because it said so in the mail! "Hi,
You have been a past member of devilsfilm.com (your username was xxxxxx), and we are contacting you because we have a special promo available for a re-launched site. " I checked to see if the site was affiliated with Devil's Film, but it is not. I have a separate e-mail account for paysites, so it doesn't bother me really. Bur I thought I would put the word out.

And the clever part is they put "Devils Film" in their email address, but it's only part of the address! It got me to open it!

Woah - fast reply, lol
Ah yes - I know what you mean. Those sorts of e-mails don't bother me as long as the site that is advertising is affiliated with the site I was (or am) a member of and as long as they have an unsubscribe link that works if I get tired of them. But networks advertising new sites have often gotten me to rejoin with those emails, so I often like them - you know, if they aren't emailing more than once a month.
Anywho - thanks for the clarification :-)
Cheers!
