The result so far (80% say either 'not my thing' or 'it's disgusting') proves how far removed porn producers are from the audiences. For me personally, it's a real turn-off. I agree with pretty much everyboby else's statement so far. I've watched porn from the last 4 decades and I cannot put my finger on exactly when this practice started. I'm indifferent to this and I guess it is because I have some experience with this. I have had girlfriends who wanted me to spit on their genitalia. Their reasoning was that it was a turn on for them. Much like various things that either are or are viewed as "wrong/naughty/taboo" - doing them is exciting. I do know from talking with people in the industry that everyone is aware of in general what is going to happen and both the male and female talent are able to control the levels of the extremes they're willing to go to. They also seem to have "professional limits" and "personal limits". A lot of women are willing to do something they don't personally find a turn on. Sandra Romain, for example, loves to dominate and finds it personally a turn on. She doesn't find being submissive that much of a turn on, if at all, but she'll do it in scenes that call for it.

I suggested this poll question and I have to admit I'm surprised at the response. I'm not a big fan of spitting in porn. I find the responses this poll has generated interesting. Of the 21 votes at the time of writing, not one was cast unequivocally for spitting, yet 17 votes were against it with 1 indifferent and 3 for it in certain conditions. 17 votes - 81%. Reading through the replies, all who bothered to write talked about how much they hate it. But I digress. What interests me more, is how prevalent in porn people feel spitting is. If you've read my reviews and posts in the past I'm sure you've guessed correctly how I've voted - but I'm fascinated by how much people are focusing on this. I wouldn't have thought spitting would attract so much attention. My wife and I very much enjoy, on occassion, watching adult movies. It gets both of us really charged up and then the fun ensues.
