From the site: "Depending if the video is DRM protected or not, you will need an active username and password before a video can be watched. When your membership is cancelled or expires you will still have 30 days to watch the video for free. Unprotected videos can be watched for free as long as you want.
How do you know if a video is DRM protected?
Answer: When you first open a downloaded video and you are asked to enter a username and password, then this video is DRM protected.
You only have to enter your username and password for the first DRM video you open. All other DRM videos will work without having to enter the username and password again."

The DRM license on your computer will expire after awhile and it will ask you for the username/pass again - it usually happened to me about once a week - sometimes 2 weeks.

Their entire network was DRM based when I was a member, I'd be surprised if that changes anytime soon, but there are ways around it. My favorite is a program called TuneBite. It simply records the copy protected video while it is playing. Do be sure to have turned off your screen saver and any programs that might make noise - as it'll record those noises as well. Plus it is a super processor hog - but once its done, you've got yourself the content without the DRM. It can also queue up the video files - I generally would start it recording when I went to bed, easy way to convert 10 videos.

thanks a lot for that info. but unfortunatly my wife is living with me :) so that i`m sadly not able to let the computer run the whole night ^^.
but it`s really a pitty that they have that damm drm. i would spend twice the money for a membership if they deactivate the drm ;)

Haha - yeah, I can imagine the explanations might get interesting. I must admit the DRM is a big pain in the ass, I too would pay more for avoiding that hassle - I dunno about twice as much, but 10 bucks more for sure!
