WMA is the easiest, but QuickTime and DIVX are good too. Its just a pain to have to have so many different programs!

I said "Divx," but it's just a marginal choice between that and WMV. There are some WMV vids that are superior to some Divx. It comes down to quality in full-screen mode.

WMV does not work well on linux. I prefer Xvid/Divx due to great quality for filesize, but will take quicktime or MPEG as well. Flash needs updated to compete. Will Silverlight bring that change?

Oh man, I just submitted this poll.
Guess I should have read every poll first.
My apologies to the PU Staff for submitting a useless poll.
Anyway, for me it depends on the quality of WMV.
If it's about 512k or higher I go with that, otherwise it's Divx/Xvid.

WMV is the only one that I know will be supported FOREVER because MS will be around that long. I would love to use an open format like DivX, but what happens when those developers find the next great thing?

WMV, because it's simple.
It just plays, no need to install players (eg Quicktime) that I'd rather not install on the PC, or have to fiddle about with codecs.
I use WMP for playing music anyway, so it's the natural choice.

Doesn't matter much, as long as it's clear. avi, mpg, wmv and, yes, even mov. But, if I see rm's on a site, I'll generally stay away. Come to think of it, maybe the world's woken up - I haven't seen an rm in ages...

As long as it is HD, that is all I care.
