The best way that I have seen to deal with older lower-quality content is the example of ALS Scans - they are consistently remastering their older material and re-presenting it in a higher quality format.

Yes, re-mastering is probably the way to go.
Or make a separate page which has all of the old content on it.

I changed my vote from keep it to delete it: I'm running out of hard drive space and lower quality content will be the first to go.

Hmm, either separate it from all the high quality content so when someone joins a site and downloads all the regular videos, they're all of high quality - but he/she has to choose to download the lower quality ones.
Remastering it would be good also, but many sites wouldn't do this as they'd focus more on adding new content rather than taking up more space with their old content.
