Might be because i'm such a stickler for typos and errors anyway. I even hate it when i make typos on my reviews.

Lack of showing when updates occurred tips me off. At this point, if I can't see updates I have no reason to believe the site is even being updated.

I definitely makes me more cautious.
It just sends out something like: "I don't care about this site, all I want is your money. Yeah I lied about the content too but you won't find out until you paid!"

It raises a few flags. It won't necessarily make me change my mind, but I will probably look at the price and quality more closely.

Yes. I can't stand typos.
If they can't write a sentance without an error, then I have no confidence in the site.

Depends what nationality their site is. If it's a European site, you might reasonably expect a typo every now and then.
But typos (or worse still, spelling errors which indicate they can't spell correctly) from English speaking countries ring real alarm bells for me. Spelling errors indicate that this lot are a bucnh of boofheads, and their site will reflect this.
