I would email the site to get their reasoning for the cutback first. And then based on their answer probably come back and share it with Pornusers.

This may seem easy, but never the less: I second Rizzos point - just MAYBE visa versa.
I'd like to get views/experience from other PUs - then go on to mail the webmaster.
But no big deal as long as you can depend on other PUs here, too...
And again never: Just accept it. If anything an explanation is needed.

It's my experience that, when a site slows down or stops updating, it's in a shut down mode.
I would first discuss it on Porn Users to see if there was an announcement or something that I missed. If that yields no information I would email the webmaster, but would not hold much hope for a meaningful response.
As a result, I would probably accept it and cancel my membership a day or two before the renewal date.
Three cases, one with a good outcome and two with a lousy outcome.
Case 1 (Good outcome) Sexy-Babes.tv - They stopped updating all of their sites with no notice at all. I wrote an email to the webmaster and posted to the site's forum with no response. Two days later I posted a question on Porn Users that was read by the webmaster who replied that they had a serious server problem and were working on it. He apologized for failing to think about the members who had no idea why there were no update and posted a notice on the site.
Cases 2 and 3 (bad outcomes) - AngelicaCostello.com (Venus Knight's website) and VictoriaPink.com. In Venus's case, although the public site promised frequent updates there were none, and hardly any content on Venus. In Victoria Pink's case, I renewed for a month hoping that their promise of frequent updates and sent emails to the site that were unanswered. The site remains but has not been updated in years...except that the price has increased from $9.95 to $24.95.
My basic strategy before I found P. U. last year was to sign up for a site's trial with low expectations then cancel. Now I will never sign up for any site without reading all of the reviews on P. U. and The Best Porn.
As for communications with a site's webmaster, in the (very) few cases where I get a reply, it's usually a useful one but occasionally the webmaster is nonresponsive.

In such a case I would prefer a PornUsers discussion.

I would let the other users know, then e-mail the website.

What prompted this poll question are sites that have reduced their updates, at least in one way or another.
ATK Galleria used to have 16 or more photo updates 6 days a week (96). Now it's 12 x 5 days per week (60), though they now do videos twice per per week instead of once. The drop in photo output was rather steep, though they still put out a lot for a single site. They did announce it on the site.
Torrid Art was doing 3 updates per week but now it's two, and every two is, as it always has been, really parts 1 and 2 of a shoot anyway. They announced it on the site, giving their reason as putting more into developing the resources of the site.
And 1byDay has had very little really new content for a couple of months until just recently. They are putting out more truly fresh stuff currently, still along with the "reloaded" stuff, which I don't mind so much though it does irk some of us PU's.
Though, as Monahan points out, reduced output is often a warning sign, I think in the case of the sites I've mentioned, it's different. They're atypical.
They're still running, but with a couple of blown spark plugs, so they don't have the satisfying "hum" they used to have.

I'm in agreemenet with everyone else. I would discuss it on PU, and see if anyone else had notice that. If nothing else it would warn other interested parties to stay away. A slow down or complete stop of updating usually means that a website is for all intense purposes dying. It's quite rare that it's a technical problem, because those usually last a few days and not weeks.

REPLY TO #3 - Monahan :
In my experience its the single girl sites that have the biggest chance of stopping updates. When you deal with just one girl there is too much riding on them not to turn flaky on you. One of the biggest reasons I avoid single girl sites to join. The upside to them is the ones with live cam shows included in the membership.

I'm a big Bang Bros fan and there's an update daily (at least 1) so if they went to 1 a week I'd probably snap and send a million emails demanding they revert back to the daily updates UHLESS they had good reason.
