Toadsith (0) I used to use Yahoo! anytime I was looking for an official site, like a company website, but Google has improved their results so much that most engines just pale by comparison.

elonlybuster (0) Google will always have a lot of BS simply because they do practically everything on the internet and it can all intertwine so some things have to be given up to gain a greater good.

Drooler (Disabled) "Google" has become a verb. I've never heard "Yahoo" used as a verb except perhaps by Yahoo. And "Ask," well, that's one way to make it a sure thing.

Except it isn't. And I didn't even know that Alta Vista or Dogpile still existed.

Google.

williamj (0) I use Google thru Fire Fox and the results seem to be fine. But I think the Google Tool Bar slowed down my computer so I removed it. If another search engine comes alond I would have no problem switching. Not a loyal user.

Wittyguy (0) I didn't even know that alta vista and dogpile were still around. Even though Google is starting to develop a Microsoft like reputation for my money it's really the only game in town.

elonlybuster (0) REPLY TO #7 - Lionheart :

They're making almost all the browsers have a little Google search box on the top corner.
IE has Yahoo but you can change it to Live or Google
FF comes w/ Google and all you can do is remove it
of course Google Chrome has it built it
and I believe Opera has it built in also.

RagingBuddhist (Disabled) A moment of silence for a dear, departed friend of mine - profusion.com. It was faster and always returned more pertinent results than google - but, since hype seems to win out over performance, it went down the tubes. It so gone, I can't even find many references to it online anywhere.
I never said that I was "profusioning" - but, yeah, I google now
