I can't vote since I'm not a US citizen, but if I could then Obama would get mine.

Politicians are bums. Bought and paid for bag men. Your vote doesn't matter.

Given the nonstop presidential news coverage I'm sure that if someone at PU administration released the poll numbers later today some news agency would pick up on it. Can't be any worse than the regular polls.

I hate the system we use to decide who gets to be president, If it were the popular vote then I would definitely think my vote counts. This system makes it more like a game on which state to win over, and makes candidates completely ignore other states.

REPLY TO #6 - Lionheart :
I agree. If we're in an age in which a search engine can index over a trillion unique URL's, which Google says it has done, I don't see why we can't have the technology to fairly and accurately tally the popular vote in a nation of approx 301,000,000 people.
We need a constitutional amendment to abolish the electoral college. Instead, we get wedge issue proprosals against gay marriage and flag burning. Gee, I wonder why that is? ;)

Have to agree the system sucks.
I voted for Barr. We really need a 3rd party. It's completely stupid to only have 2 choices.

51% lording it over the 49% is not a good system either.
As a Libertarian in many ways, I think NO laws should be made without at least an 80% majority (Think of all the "morality" laws that a mob of 51% would be allowed to pass in a "pure" democracy). The FEW laws passed with 80% would really mean something then and the police would not be forced to look the other way or arbitrarily enforce stupid morality laws. In the USA the poor get arrested for their vices and the rich fly to Vegas for them.
