Boy-o. Great resemblance with Jethro Tull.... "Thick as a Brick" - damn fine album, BTW - thanks for that inspiration/input - going to put the old vinyl on right now...

Yep, I love that stuff, especially the early work!
Minstrel in the Gallery is a favourite of mine.
On topic.
A lot of these sites stretch their definitions :0(

I also love "Minstrel." And just about everything from "Benefit" through "Songs from the Wood." If you haven't seen it, you should check out the live performance of "My God" at the Isle of Wight.

Classic stuff!
I really prefer the edge of the early works...
War Child's Back Door Angels was a classic.
The 'angry young man' years! ;0)

Hey Denner, have you seen this performance at the Isle of Wight (1970)? Not "Thick as a Brick," but from Aqualung. It's AMAZING! (And when Bunker and Cornick were still, respectively, on drums and bass.)

Hey Drooler - what a clip!
Never seen this before - and I been through a lot of clips from Isle of Wight 1970 - and here even the audio is just fine compared to the Jimi Hendrix Isle of Wight-album the same year with a horrible sound...
And it's fun - again - to watch Ian Anderson doing his "one-leg show'....
A great and nostalgic video....
I really enjoyed this!

Holy crap, a Tull thread at PU! Jethro Tull happens to be my favorite band, ever since my brother came home in 1979 with a copy of the Songs From the Wood lp. He had been at a party in the woods and the album literally smelled like a campfire, plus it was ice cold, it being winter in upstate NY. Imagine how that helped with the whole woodsy, outdoorsy theme of that amazing album!
I've written a handful of Tull reviews at Amazon. I saw them twice in concert, but unfortunately I never saw them in their heyday.

Back Door Angels! Martin Barre at his finest. He is one of the most under-rated guitarists ever, probably because he has always played in Ian's shadow, which looms pretty damn large.
Mark Knopfler (sp?) of Dire Straits remarked that Barre's playing with Tull was "Magical." That's a good nod.
Here's a great clip of Barre at his best, for those who think Tull was nothing without Ian:

I saw Tull once in 1977 I believe. They'd just released "Too Old to Rock 'n Roll ..." They opened for Richie Blackmore's Rainbow (with Rio James Dio and Cozy Powell). Both bands were incredible. Anderson had such maniacal energy! It was unforgettable -- in spite of the cannabis. (LOL)

Thanks for the clip! Jeez! They're all motherfuckers. Barriemore Barlow's double-bass stuff near the end included!

Lest this thread suffer the Wrath of Khan, a question about Cosmid: I wonder why the site is not in the busty niche, and doesn't seem to sell itself as a busty site. I've seen many samples at TGP's and I have yet to see a model who wasn't stacked to the rafters.
