It's a matter of value. If a site is charging more than my entire porn budget, but delivers some amazing content, then I would not consider it over-valued.
But, it's a Catch-22: for a site to charge that kind of money, it would need amazing content. Of course, amazing content isn't cheap, so a site might not have the initial budget to create (or buy) that content. Since it doesn't have great content, it couldn't justify charging a high price, etc., etc.
In the end, I probably wouldn't join any site that is priced above my porn budget, just for the fact that it is a budget and I'd have to take spending money from other areas to cover it.

I use to consider any site beyond my budget to be overpriced. But now I do not. Now I only list a site to be overpriced when it lacks content or something is missing compared to other sites at the same price. Like you can join naughty America vip for 24.95, and it also cost you the same price to join some small junky solo site with hardly any content. So comparing the two it's obvious the solo site is way overpriced because many other sites give you more bang for your buck.

Currently, I'd have to vote yes. Though, if in the future I were able to considerably raise my budget then I'd possibly have a different view.
Whilst the point nygiants03 makes is extremely true, I do think there's a limit regardless of how good the site is. That limit for me, is currently $30/month. I think anything beyond that is touching on being overpriced, yes.

My experience has often been that higher priced sites are poor quality and out only for a quick buck.
Competitively priced sites often offer huge quantity and quality because they can rely on very large numbers of satisfied customers, not a few naive rookies who can be easily scammed.
My experience: BEWARE of high priced non-competitive sites that promise a lot and give low quality little.

My formula is rather simple.
If a site is $9.99 or less then I can be very forgiving, provided that it pops regularly with some woody creating content.
If a site is $10.00 to $19.99, I look at it as a site designed to maximize revenue because I (and I suppose many others) are willing to "let it ride" every month because it costs about the same as 11 days worth of vente's at Starbucks.
If a site is $20.00 to $29.99, I'll check out the trial unless TBP warns that it's a "limited" trial in which case I'll forget it unless it's really special (like Met Art) where I'll spring for just one month. A site that doesn't let a trial subscriber see everything it has to offer has a reason to hide their content...which gives me a reason not to trust them to provide decent content.
If a site is $30.00 or more I will not check it out unless somehow the site is overwhelmingly special. Have never signed up for any site over $29.99.
Frankly the site is foolish if it charges more than $19.99 because the buyer resistance will go way up. And when you figure the cost of operating the site is almost entirely fixed, it seems silly to overprice a site. Isn't 10 subscribers at $19.99 a whole Hell of a lot better than 5 at $29.99 and 3 at $39.99? ($199.90 vs. $149.95 vs. $119.97)

Ive paid quite a bit. Over 50.00 a month for one site and I normally belong to atleast 4. If the effort, professionalism, even just semi quality, new additions are there I dont mind paying for it.

nygiants03 makes a valid and pertinant point. It is simply a matter of content both quantity and quality. This is why we need to see the updates on the tours and why we need to see both image and video samples.
On the other hand, taste is so important, however there's not yet a taste interface on a web browser.

Of course it is, because I can't think of a single site that was beyond my budget, and I'm the type of person who thinks that anything above 25$ is in the expensive for a membership. That said I have paid more and wasn't disapointed.
