I would recommend 7zip over WinRAR. It opens just about any compressed file format.

Thanks for the tip. One never knows when another site that uses .rar files might pop up. I think there's some kind of advantage about them that I read about -- better compression?
But until SpiceLab is a sure thing with larger scale pics and a decent server ...

Until now, I have never heard of a site using rar files. You would think they would have a link to winrar on their site, like other sites will have the various video player links. Sounds like a shoddy site!

Their support page goes over potential problems users may experience with auto-resizing and auto-logins, but there's nothing about .rar files.
They have all of six updates for the month of June. The July list in their previous updates stops at the middle of the month. Seems like a slow site in more than one way (the other being server response).
