Half Price offer not honored, or so I thought

I received a 1/2 off offer to vivthomas.com expiring on August 15th. I tried the link several times and it always came up full price. I tried contacting web support for vivthomas.com to no avail. I love this site and wanted the half-off offer to join, but I don't like getting jerked around by false advertising either. It's a shame. They have great content, but this is a terrible business practice.

Update--The vthelpcenter had replied promptly. I simply have not received the email. Mia culpa. Their customer service was on the ball. Thanks Nick!

rearadmiral (0) I'm not sure if this will work, but if you've visited the site before at any time you'd likely still have that cookie in your computer which may prevent getting the better offer. It's worth clearing your cookies and giving that a try. I hope that works for you.

Thanks for your suggestion, and I tried it, but it still did not bring up the 1/2 off offer. I am disappointed about not getting the offer, but more disappointed that no one bothered to respond to my email to customer service. It was polite and asked for them to help me get the 1/2 offer. If my email had been rude or vulgar, I could understand them not helping, but it was not. This was just bad customer service. I am very disappointed, especially as I have been a member several times and love their content.

tangub (0) I remember last year when I was trying to sign up to a half price ofer I had terrible trouble trying to find it. Clicking on the join link kept taking me to the join page showing the full prices. It was only after some time that I figured out you had to click a banner on that sign up page that took you to another sign up page with the reduced price. Their webmaster is usually quite prompt at responding to comments here in PU so i'm surprised he hasn't replied to yours yet.

That's a terribly convoluted way to go about getting a discount. I applaud your tenacity. One would think you would simply follow the link that says "Join Here" as I did, but evidently not. I cannot test your method as the offer has expired. Thanks for the help.

I can't be 100% sure if it was you I had a conversation with on our help center, but this is a simple cookie issue. There is no con here. If you cleared your cookies properly and clicked the correct link, you would have got the special.

Leave a ticket on http://www.vthelpcenter.com referencing PORNUSERS.com and I will give you a free month. No hard feelings at all :))

I did not believe it was a con. It was a technical problem. That was why I wrote the help center and submitted a ticket as it requests. But I never received a reply. Nothing. This is the first time I have been contacted by your site's help center. I appreciate the offer of a free month, and will take you up on it, but you would have made a multi-month customer of me had you just replied to my ticket in the two days before the offer expired. I am just disappointed by the whole experience.

What we seem to have here is a technical miscommunication which has ended up by giving you the perception of bad customer service. While I was away, one of my colleagues actually DID reply to your ticket on our help center the day after you wrote in.

I have since sent you an email and replied on the help center alerting you of our reply. However my offer of a free month still applies.

I still have not received your original response email as of this time. I did receive your latest email though. Chalk one up to the vaguaries of the internet. It has happened before (an email once took over a month to be delivered), and it was impossible for me to discern a delay in delivery for a lack of response.
