It's a kind of regional pricing but not as serious as some others. Of course not being as bad doesn't mean that it doesn't suck.

I agree because although the amount is quite small. We are still talking about a 50 or so percent increase in the price for Non-US citizens. I don't know who their CC procesor is.

The CC processor was Epoch who are usually much better when it comes to sticking to the original price, but a two dollar difference in an eight dollar order does seem excessive to say the least. That's why I am not quite sure if it wasn't the bank that sneaked that one in. Banks do have a habit of milking you dry with various add on charges.

Banks would never do that....Yes, they would. You could be right on that one because Epoch is by far the best one when it comes to doing Regional Pricing. Mind you it could also be NA that asked Epoch to charge more for foreign customers.

It might have something to do with when you signed up, because over the past month they've had a $5.00 special (right now, but just started), a $7.95 special(over the US Thanksgiving holiday weekend), and a $9.99 special(last week). So it could be that the PU discount wasn't working and they gave you their special price instead (as opposed to purely regional pricing).

I got that special five dollar offer the day after I subscribed for a higher price through Epoch. :-) I just went back to the original transaction and found that Epoch had sent me a confirmation, stating that I had been charged CA $ 10.28 for one month, continuing on at CA $ 25.20 if I didn't cancel. So your suggestion that it might have been $ 9.95 when I signed up through PU might very well be right on because Epoch are in the habit of tacking on 50 cents or so no matter if our dollar is above par or not. I could have sworn it was $ 7.95 but am starting to waver. An old man's brain is not the most retentive thing. I think I'll have to start getting used to eating crow! :-(

Regional Pricing is normlly not as subtle as that, so I think it is more likely a confusion of offer prices.

I agree, Cap'n! And will add that it might have been my confusion. I thought I had signed on for $ 7.95 because I did it through PU but it might have been for $ 9.95 and I got things mixed up????? I honestly don't know now.
