Its must be a guy thing I do not mind as much if women talk in a scene which is rare female camera shooters. That said maybe if I was a gay male it would be good? Not sure if its the fact a guy is in my scene or the fuck he wont shut the fuck up is the issue. Camerawomen do not seem to rattle on and on the way guys do, Maybe they get a boner watching it and then their brain cant tell them to shut up. I have had some hot scenes ruined by the guy bla bla bla . I find it annoying, even if the model over does it. Be curious in Male Gay porn do the cameramen talk as much as do the straight ones ?

If the cameraman really has something worthwhile to say, then fine. It just hasn't been my experience.

Adds nothing at all. Worse, it kills the fantasy that both (all) participants are truly into the sex.

It depends - I've seen good banter between models and cameramen before, sometimes it brings out the best in models. But often it's just annoying.

Although I agree with Drooler that it would be okay if he had something worthwhile to say but they never do and that is why I really dislike it.

I wish they'd shut the fuck up!
But, somehow, even worse is the sleazy heavy breathing when the camera mic is set a little to high and you can just hear the guy's wheezing throughout the scene--think Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Happiness, and sometimes with much the same dialogue. But at least there it was funny.

Scenes have mostly gotten way too male-centric for my taste and the cameraman talking is a symptom. The talking cameraguy might have been an interesting gimmick in the early days of gonzo - but not anymore. The talking cameraman is a very unwelcome cliché and yet another form of male scenery chewing.
