I'm an old-timer & remember paying $50 for a small 8mm film in the 1960's and $100 for one video (The Opening of Misty Beethovan) a few years later. The price of porn now is a tremendous bargain. If I had to I would pay high prices for excellent quality..... but I don't have to.
My experience in on-line porn has most often been that the best web-sites have enough traffic to keep their prices reasonable.
A high price, sadly & ironically, is usually the sign of a very poor web-site that tries to sell junk for premium prices. I've been fooled a few times, but in general a high price preys on customers who don't know better.

Porn is sort of like a restaurant in that once the entree breaks the $30 barrier you start to lose the customers. I'm a cheap bastard so even the $30 limit is high for me but that doesn't mean there isn't great stuff or niche stuff above that line.

REPLY TO #1 - Jay G :
Agree with Jay.
The sites that charge more than $30 are myopic or clumsy. Many (most?) porn fans will hit that barrier and simply move on rather than taking a shot fro a month.
Yes, I paid big bucks for my porn back in the day, but that's when the market was restricted by local laws.
BTW, I've signed up for 2 big bucks sites and was very disappointed by the content.

I can't say that price is not an issue for me because I'd be lying if I did but I don't usually look at the price of a site so much as what I'm going to get for my investment. That's why I feel comfortable in saying that the sites that are 30$ or more are often not worth half their cost and sometimes they aren't worth joining at all.

I don't think of my personal budget as the benchmark criteria for determining the overvaluation of pornography. But then, who knows? ;)
