That's an important part of TBP/PU for me. I look at it often and often choose a site based on the discount that I might otherwise not consider. Discounts are a big motivator for me to open my wallet.
I agree with rearadmiral. Not getting a discount might not prevent me from joining a site but it will certainly prevent me from joining sooner or more often than if there had been a discount.
