I've learned not to trust previews, but then it does depend on the type of preview. If the site allows full navigation access to it's content but doesn't let you fully view it or download it, then that's a trustworthy preview, but sites that show you screencaps for scenes that don't exist, that's more common than expected.

Re-run. Original submitted in 2008. Has run several times since. Always interesting to see how opinions change over time.

PU & Best Porn are essential, but without preview videos I can't be interested. I still rely on actually seeing an example of the merchandise before I buy it. Otherwise it's like a blind date that your friend promises will be terrific. Your friend is great but he often has different tastes than you have.

If they are available than I use both TBP and PU reviews as well as TBP fact info and finally check the site out. Frankly if the site makes it next to impossible to know what you are getting for your money than for me it means that it isn't worth it so I pass on that site.

I find that the TBP reviews are a little too positive sometimes, but there are often very well written PU reviews. In the end, you have to take a leap of faith no matter how good the reviews and previews are, but it helps a lot to have both professional and PU reviews.
The Better Business Bureau and Yelp have both been proven to accept payment for a higher score. I don't really think that happens in porn site reviews....yet. A site can plant a positive user review (which you can usually see through), but for the most part, I like how honest the user reviews are.
