I suspect that many of the more recent purveyors of porn might not think so because they have started watching porn in a time where the so call free porn sites are rampant on the net and therefore I don't know if there is any amount that would make them think it's worth paying but for a guy like me going back to the days where rental was the only possible way to watch porn at home to then transition to buying VHS tapes for 20+ dollars than almost every porn site is a bargain.

100% agree.
Not only the rental fees, but also having to schlepp to the video store twice, no opportunity to preview the material and relying on the box cover to be accurate, having to fast forward through crap to find the babe(s) that prompted the rental, etc.
And, holy shiite, Batman, the quality is so much better today than back in the day.
Today's web based access is far superior as is The Best Porn, which I call the Consumer Reports of porn. There was nothing similar bak in the day; just caveat emptor.

I 100% agree with your agreement with pat and your comments. These are great days for those of us who buy porn. Even a new site with just a handful of excellent scenes for a $30 monthly fee is still a good value when measured up with how you described life before the internet. I could rent three titles for $10 and if I was lucky there were four or five scenes on those tapes or DVDs that were worth watching.
And consider storage: I have what would likely fill an entire large porn shop and it's all discretely stashed in a locked briefcase.

Absolutely great value. I still remember paying $50 for a super-8 porn film about 8 minutes long without sound and later $100 for my first betamax porn video: The Opening of Misty Beethovan (and it was worth that $100 back then). Now I have hundreds and hundreds of hours of better quality stuff for about $30 to $50 a month.

Add also the fact that you had to either go to specialty porn shop or you had to go into those little backrooms to be able to rent porn movies and don't get me started on having to rewind each VHS or Beta taper after viewing.
I know a lot of people bitch about false advertising in many of todays movies but they have no idea what they are talking about because I have been burned a hundred time by renting of God forbid buy a movie based on the crappy little back pics or the synopsis that was pure B.S.
The quality was never an issue for me because I've always been able to overlook that if what I'm watching is turning me on.

Everything you guys say rings so true. Younger guys might take cheap porn for granted. It was not at all true just a few decades ago.
One more trip down memory lane: remember the first Internet porn pictures & videos that were postage stamp size and not very clear? Things have come a long way.

Quite True but in many ways (at least for me) only the technology has jumped forward. So many things that made watching porn great seems to have fallen behind.

I have thousands of hours of entertainment stored on stand alone drives. I think it is easily the best value compared to most things. A game might take you 20 hours to win. That game will cost 60$ for that same price you could get 6 memberships with hundreds of hours of content even if you discriminated.
