Two.... not quite a handful, but not one LOL. I use them like "preview" sites to find unexpected web-sites with good videos. When I find them I join the sites and pay for quality copies. The quality of free sites is generally pretty poor.....

Many pay sites post sample videos on the free sites as a marketing technique. I have a list of several US, European and Russian free sites that I visit when I'm looking for something new. And a lot of it is in 720p HD.
I've also found that these sites often have a community that edits and contributes. For example, Go to Thumbzilla and look up "Reverse Cowboy Compilation". Sure enough, down the page somebody has put a bunch of them together and put them to music....5 or 6 different versions. That's more work than I would ever want to do, but it is nice viewing. There is also some pretty good amateur stuff on occasion.
The pop-ups are sometimes a nuisance and for a while that stupid FBI Java hijack thing was a problem at some foreign sites, but current virus protection seems to take care of that.

I'm not sure if this means tube sites or not. I only visit free video sites if I'm doing some digging on a site I'm interested in joining and there isn't much information here.
