I've been trying to convince FemJoy that their smaller image sizes (800,1200, with 5500 as the large size) are incredibly antiquated.....for about 4 years, I've been trying....
These days I like 2000-3000 pixel images thanks to faster graphics cards that can display them quickly. I will save the best images I find in the largest available resolution, but only the top .05 (one-half of a) percent of what is out there.

2000 pixels are often OK when the subject is close enough, but sometimes she's not, and that's when larger images (at least 4000px) are needed.
Skippy makes a good point about Femjoy. I personally think they should have 2000 px images among their offerings, along with the larger ones. They can keep the 1200s if they want to; maybe phone users want that size, I don't know.
Femjoy has consistently better offerings than MPLStudios, IMHO, but at least MPL has 2000px and also 4000px images along with the smaller ones.

I always try for the highest res possible. I'd say I prefer anything over 1200 pixels "long-side" unless the picture is rare or extremely hot.
