Pros:
Deep archives with great scenes of many of the best pornstars of the past 20 years - Lanny Barby, Devon, Teagan Presley, Skin Diamond, Jenna Haze, Nautica Thorn among them.
Lots of variety of performers. I was going to write a review complaining about another site that was boring me to tears with the samey-ness of their performers - one slender white girl after another. But I thought it would be more fun to say good things about a site that has a lot of variety in their performers, including lots of fine Black women - Demi Sutra, Ana Foxxx, Scarlit Scandal, Kira Noir among them. Digital Playground has been known mainly for their blockbusters & story-oriented releases. I couldn't care less about the stories in most porn - but I'm a big fan of the Jack's Teen America series & the Control & Throb movies from the past & the Flixxx & Episodes' series that they have done more recently
Cons:
COVID-19 is having a major impact on their releases of new material. They went from releasing a new scene every 3 days in April to releasing a new scene every 2 weeks starting at the end of April - now they're re-releasing scenes once a week.
As someone who joined the site some time ago with one of those "join for life for very little money" deals so long as I have a Brazzers membership, I am grandfathered in to download vids, but I understand that new members do not share in that good fortune, so be careful if joining to know exactly what the terms are so far as downloads are concerned.
The situation with photos on this site is terrible. You click on a scene and there are no options to see the photos related to the scene. The only way to see photos on this site is to pick "galleries" as an option from the "extras" drop down menu. Even if you click on a performer's name from a gallery of hers, there are no options to see all of her photo galleries.

Bottom Line:
This site's been around a long time. DP has probably been most heavily promoted around the Island Fever series they did, which I found very pretty, but incredibly frustrating with the music eradicating the sex sounds - blasphemy in my book - and their comical features, which really aren't funny at all to me, and their feature girls, some of whom, like BiBi Jones, did the worst work of their porn careers for DP. So it's easy to think, "nothing going on here" - but, as I say, dig in the archives and you can find some incredibly hot material and, at least up to the point that the pandemic hit, they were going forward with both guns blazing. They haven't been as creative as sites such as Adult Time & Evil Angel in taking on the challenge of this period. They've kind of thrown up their hands in a "What you gonna do?" sort of way. If you haven't been a member in a long time, I bet you would find a lot of material to enjoy here. DP has always had high production values and all of their scenes look really great. They offer their videos in 4 sizes from 320 p to 1080 p. Their download speeds, to me, are great. The file sizes won't kill your storage - an average 1080 p scene is less than 2 gb. They currently show 4,278 scenes on the site. I have never found a scene offered on the site that didn't download and play well, even from deep in their archives, so it's a site that's kept up well.

Sadly I cannot Recommend the site the High Cost of subscription ie you have to pay a second Charge to download Films either by a $19.95 Vip membership or by a pay per Download paying extra for downloads is a No in my Mind but most of Mindgeeks Sites have gone this Way (twistys mofos Wicked Babes) and the frequent "page not available error is another issue that hasnt been addressed

Lots of content mostly available in HD. Site is updated almost every day. Fast downloads.
Cons:
Site navigation is a pain, clicking back takes you back to the first page of your videos/movies/catagory. Most movies are downloaded in the whole movie instead of the individual scene. My biggest grip however is the price. You join the site and then pay extra to "upgrade" to premium then find out that premium doesn't include downloads! So in total I spent close to $70 for a one month membership 19.95 basic membership, 34.95 premium, 19.95 download charge. Fyi the Star Wars videos they are hyping are not full movies but just one 30-40 minute scene, only one is a full movie and that is Star Wars Underworld. A great portion of the paradies are only just one scene.
Bottom Line:
I have to say that despite the excellent content this site is just not worth the money it charges. I know this is a short review but I am trying very hard to answer basic questions without blasting this site.

- Older videos download the whole movie to your cache, which could be an issue for those with caps
- Tags don’t appear to be effective in finding scenes
Bottom Line:
There are two things any prospective member should know before considering a membership here. The first is that the site offers streaming only (though a recent comment stated that with the right software the HTTP stream can be captured). The second is that this studio specializes in plot-based porn, some of it with a big budget and location shoots. If you prefer gonzo this might seem a bit tame for you. (One advantage to plot-based porn is that when the plot involves normal life – as opposed to pirates, for example – the model’s clothes and makeup are more natural. This is big plus for me. I’d rather see a model in jeans and light makeup than wearing PVC clothes and garish makeup.)
The site is fairly standard for a studio site and it has many of the same flaws that other studio sites have. While the porn itself is quite good, the site lets it down. Digital Playground is a lot better than some other studio sites, but not as good as many exclusive sites.
The site currently has just over 500 DVDs available. It certainly looks like all the scenes in each DVD are available. There is also the ability to sort by scene and while most of those scenes can be associated with a DVD it does appear that some of the scenes are (for now, at least) not part of a DVD. It may be that the scenes get assembled into the DVD once they’re all uploaded. It looks like there is one scene uploaded each day although there does appear to be the occasional gap.
As can be expected with any website that has material ranging from 2005 to 2014 the quality of the older stuff is less than the newer stuff. Most of the older DVDs are available in four resolutions: 720, 576, 480 and 320. New DVDs are available in 1080, 720, 480 and 320. Approximately 25% of the videos offered (and all of the new uploads) have the 1080p option.
I don’t normally join streaming sites, but one thing I noticed with the older movies could be an issue for some members. Even though you could select a specific scene from a movie, clicking on that scene started streaming the entire movie from the beginning. While it’s inconvenient to have to scrub ahead when you’ve already selected the scene you want, for those with a download cap this means you’re using unnecessary bandwidth to see a scene. This problem doesn’t seem to occur on any movie where the 1080p stream is offered. On those the specific scene you want is queued up.
Another quibble is that the tags don’t work well. There is an extensive list of possible tags so I selected ‘anal’ to get a sense of how many anal DVDs there were. The result was six DVDs. That was disappointing, but not entirely unexpected as Digital Playground does seem relatively more couple-friendly than other studios. But it turns out there is a lot more anal here than the tags revealed. The tags don’t appear to be an effective way to sort scenes.
A definite advantage to the site is that since this is one of the major studios and it’s been around a long time, their cast lists are usually a who’s who of A-list models. They also have a few exclusive models.
Speaking of models, this is a subjective complaint, but the studio tends to shoot larger-breasted women than I prefer. Many of them are natural, but a lot are enhanced. (Teagan Presley, a favorite of mine, has a lot of scenes here but they are almost all post-surgery.) If you like A-list models with bigger breasts though, this site should be considered.
The site isn't perfect but it does have more hits than misses. The streaming-only is likely a deal-breaker for many, but that may be offset by the 50% discount offered through TBP/PU. A membership gives you access to some big-budget porn with some of the biggest names in the business. This is a definite ‘maybe’ for a rejoin but as long as you’re okay with streaming I’d recommend checking it out.

Confusing multiple membership options, including "DP Premium", which claims to have unlimited downloads of Digital Playground, Elegant Angel, Evil Angel, Vivid, Wicked, Private and other studios - but it seems like you have to join to see what they're really offering.
Bottom Line:
There is one - and only one - reason why I'm bothering to review this site and that is that this site is getting better in a major way. It is VERY unusual to see a site that has been around as long as Digital Playground get better, so when I see a site like this get much better, I've got to bring it to the attention of other PU's. This site has always been the place where Digital Playground put up their DVD's that they wanted to offer for streaming. It's always been streaming-only. At times they have also had cam shows by their contract stars. They aren't doing those at present. What's new with the site is their web series and scenes that they are putting up on the site in addition to their DVD's. And these aren't crap no-budget scenes with bottom-feeder performers. They've been putting up scenes with the best up-and-comers such as Alina Li and Sara Luvv - great scenes too! And they have a new series starting tomorrow - a porn version of Sons of Anarchy starring the glorious Bonnie Rotten that looks very exciting from the previews. In a time when other sites are giving less and less to their members, it's pretty striking that this site is going in the other direction entirely. I hope that it lasts! My 89 score is because of the "Streaming Only" of this site. No site that doesn't offer downloads of their vids should be graded as excellent, in my opinion.

+There is a site search, but you have to open a separate page to get to it (its not a nice little box on every page like you have with VideoBox for example). It does what it is supposed to do, but when you get video results for a girl you dont get pushed to the start time of the scene - this is because the streams do not have scene splits, they are full 1-2 hour streams with no breaks.
+Site has a little more value based on the fact that it offers all Jacks Teen America movies (available on a separate site)

-All videos are provided as streams and are provided WITHOUT scene splits. No downloads!!
-So confusing - there are two areas of movies. One area is the vids from Rain Productions (pre-2003) now under Digtial Productions umbrealla. All of these movies are SUPPOSED to be available as iPOD MP4 downloads but are all dead. The newer videos (2003-...) under "Digital Productions" are those provided as streams and meant to be a front to make you BUY the DVD. Annoying.
-Images are watermarked
-Image galleries not downloadable as ZIPs.
-The image viewer (the one that makes the rest of the browser window black while popping the image up on top of the page) shrinks the image by 25% or so. Make sure you right click images and open them in a new tab/window to get full size.
-Junky extras - trailers, BTS vids, and not-incl network sites
-Model pages fail to link movies, only image sets
-Members main page has video autoload (with audio) in background. It is REALLY annoying.

Bottom Line:
After checking out Jacks Teen America and writing a bad review of that site, someone suggested I check out the parent site, DigitalPlayground. (Jack's Teen America is completely worthless, not only because it is a junk site, but because DigitalPlayground offers all the Jacks Teen America videos in higher (non Quicktime) quality). Well, I found DigitalPlayground to be as disappointing as Jack's Teen America. Yes, videos are higher quality (and non-Quicktime), and yes there is a larger library of videos thanks to the fact that the site doesn't just focus on one series (rather all content from the producer), but the site is just as bad and unenjoyable as Jack's Teen America, and it makes for a terrible experience.
The site is not as fast as I would like for a porn site, however this in no way affects the videos. All video streams ARE HOSTED BY AKAMAI, so they will all load instantaneously and allow you to jump to any part of the stream without delay. If streams are being hosted on another server then it goes to show you that the site itself is not being hosted on very capable hardware or a very capable connection.
Everything good about the site (the search, high quality, etc.) is stuff that you should come to expect about a porn site, everything bad is just glaringly bad (zip downloads for image galleries, no downloads, etc.) and fails to exceed expectations in other areas (i'm not going to say how I think sites should exceed expectations because exceeding expectations means I am not expecting it).
Everything is of course killed by the fact that all videos are provided as streams with no scene splits, with the site acting as a goad to get you to buy the DVDs. What a waste.
If you are the non-downloading type, then DigitalPlayground works well, sans the fact that you are limited to just DigitalPlayground material. They are supposed to offer downloads of old Rain Productions videos, problem is that they don't work, and you can probably find these same videos on sites like VideoBox or VideosZ because of how common they are (just goto to IAFD and get the Rain Productions list:[IAFD dot com domain removed by me to abide by rules]/distrib.rme/distrib=2220/Rain-Productions.htm). I think eventually sites like VideoBox and VideosZ will get their hands on the DigitalProductions material and will offer them as high quality split scene downloads, which will of course eliminate the need for this crappy site.
65 rating because you can't find Digital Productions' videos anywhere else, at least for now, and the videos are at least provided in enjoyable high quality streams on AKAMAI servers.
