Jeff Sessions named to be new Attorney General Look out privacy fans. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/11/jeff-sessions-attorney-general-confirmation-231602 The Senate cannot filibuster judicial or Cabinet post nominations either. Trump seems to be picking many conservatives as nominees. I guess we see he is not as nonpartisan as many had hoped. "Dogs think people are Gods. ^Look out African Americans, Mexican Americans and any other non-white American. This boy is RACIST and that is not good for a Country where at least half of it's citizens happen to be of color. The good news is that you all remember that Trump promised to drain the swamp. He just never said how he would do it or when. Long live the Brown Coats.

Personally, I think that just as Trump has emboldened the alt-right crowd and made at least some of their views seem like more mainstream opinions than extremist or fringe, we need someone very vocal to get conservatives to view liberal ideas as being more compatible with conservative values. When someone like Sessions talks about various reforms in regard to immigration and criminal justice, he is actually talking about greater government intervention. And that means big government getting even bigger - something that most conservative folks are very much against. Some don't even care if it's supposedly for the greater good - more government involvement is never the right choice. When he stands against legalization of cannabis, he is essentially blocking an opportunity for massive revenue from a "sin tax" - the only kind of taxation that most Republicans can readily get behind. An immigration crackdown also presents issues for many highly profitable corporations that save huge amounts of money by utilizing undocumented workers. The bottom line counts for many conservatives. I just think that rather than trying to pull on the heartstrings, we need liberal thinkers who can present the practical side to their views. And then instead of it being us versus them, we can keep someone like Sessions in line due to pressure from Republicans as well as Democrats.

Donald Trump’s threat to prosecute Hillary Clinton was always hollow. This is making many of Trump's supporters unhappy. President-elect Donald Trump's supporters often chanted "lock her up" when he discussed his opponent, Hillary Clinton, at campaign rallies. But despite repeatedly promising to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate her, it looks like Trump might not pursue Clinton after all. (Peter Stevenson/The Washington Post) Also, it's been reported that Hillary Clinton would have the protection of the US Constitution as a protection against unfair criminal prosecution. However, I believe I have come up with an alternative solution: Why not have the CIA (or the FBI, or some ultra-secret US commando squad) kidnap Hillary Clinton and smuggle her to Guantanamo Bay? Where she could be waterboarded into confessing her crimes? Trump Has Vowed To Fill Guantanamo With 'Some Bad Dudes' Sending Hillary Clinton to Gitmo would send a strong message to criminals everywhere that the Trump administration will be harsh on criminals, irrespective of their gender. (End of rant. Not to be taken 1,000% seriously.)
