No active memberships for the first time in 20+ years Honestly, I can’t remember a time in the past 20 years plus that I haven’t had at least one porn active membership. But circumstances have conspired against me. I have to also admit some relief in that I know I can go without having active memberships all the time. Then again, I do have the solace of my prodigious porn collection. Two things have lined up to bring me to this point. First is the pandemic. Many of my favourite sites are small and had to stop shooting during the pandemic so there haven’t been updates in months. Examples of this are Amateur Allure, Swallow Salon, Hookup Hotshot and all of the Mike Adriano sites. There’s no sense joining a site that isn’t updating. The second reason is that we’re moving and I don’t want to get caught being unable to cancel a membership that I no longer want and end up with a recurring charge. Unfortunately the move isn’t simple either. We’re ceasing to be homeowners and are moving into an apartment but the building is still under construction due to delays. So we’re moving somewhere temporarily and that spot includes an internet connection but it might be slow. So the choice I’ve made is to go cold turkey on memberships at least until we get settled into the new apartment and I’m paying for a fast internet connection. Anyone else have a similar experience in going cold turkey on memberships? Has the pandemic effected how you subscribe to sites? | |

rearadmiral, best of luck to you during this time of transition. Hopefully you'll be settled down soon and back to subscribing and writing reviews. I've gone cold turkey on memberships a few times. The first time was about 2007 because I was spending waaay too much on porn and wracked up massive debts. So I took a break and paid off my debts before coming back to subscribe to only a few sites at a time. The last time was 2018-19 when I went about nine months without a membership to anything. It was kind of nice because I didn't have to check sites to see if there was anything I wanted to download. I just spent the time perusing my existing collection. I just canceled my memberships to PJGirls and WeAreHairy, but it's because I have run out of storage space to keep downloading new material. ^ and ^^ Thanks folks. Tomorrow is moving day into the temporary location. I suspect I won't both with any memberships until we're fully settled in the more permanent space. But if the wifi is good at the temporary place who knows? Then again, there may be monthly download caps too. | |

I've only bought one membership in the last couple of months and it's for solo model that has some decent hardcore videos but I haven't felt the need to buy one for any other site because they haven't had any stuff i really care to watch. The good news is that while I'm without a membership to any site at the moment. That leaves me some extra cash to buy individual videos that are pretty expensive and I would not normally buy because they would blow my porn budget. Best of luck with the move. ^ I am staying in NB. Just moving from one part of part of town to another. The big deal though is going from a large house on a large lot to an apartment. I'm done with maintenance and upkeep. No more worrying about anything. The only downside is that the apartment building we're moving to is delayed by at least a month. But... while living in a temporary apartment in the heart of the city I'm within 10 minutes walking from dozens of brew pubs, and dozens of restaurants. The hard part will be in not eating myself to an early grave! The odd thing about the memberships is that I don't miss them. I will subscribe to sites again but I may not always have a site or three on the go. | |

North of the border you guys have the virus under control. Here a lot of folks are moving out of the cities and buying homes in the contryside do to the unrest. As for memberships I only have one myself, Newsensations for $7.95 recurring I just went back to yesterday. | |

^The strange part is that we aren't doing anything that you guys couldn't do but somehow enough Americans believe that wearing a mask in a public is somehow anti-American and it doesn't matter what the truth is. The fact is that America is on the path to have as many as 300,000 dead before years end and I don't see anyway to prevent that. Sorry to be blunt but you guys are fucked. I also don't miss them but I wasn't missing them before the pandemic started and I don't know if my feelings will change once there is new content being added because so much of the porn being made today just doesn't appeal to me. I love anal sex but even when a gorgeous new performer does it. The end product is so lackluster to me that I watch it and then I forget about it and watch 10 years old porn.
