A Disturbing Progression .... ... from softcore to hardcore. It seems to be happening to all of my formerly favorite sites. They were wonderful in the beginning but the constant push by hardcore lovers turned them into something that is far less desirable to me. I have nothing against hardcore, I subscribe to hardcore sites, but when it comes to photo softcore sites I wish they had stuck to their guns and not given in to those who constantly asked and pushed: where's the b/g content? I don't like hybrids. You should be either one or the other, not both, because this way no one ever gets enough of what they are looking for. But that's me.  | |

By the look of things, the only softcore sites we are going to be left with are the 'artsy' sites, unfortunately. The only two sites I can think of that are consistently in the zone for me are Figurebaby & Torrid Art. Long may they continue with what they are doing. They are serving a woefully undersupported niche. You are right about the "artsy" sites, Capn. They have remained true to themselves. And good for them! Trouble is, while they feature gorgeous models, they lack erotic appeal (to me!) because they basically feature plain nudes. I like nudes but only after a leisurely strip .. but everybody knows that by now!  | |

I'm all for keeping softcore sites soft core. I think it's pathetic that a minority of hardcore whiners who think every site has to have it get the softcore sites to do it. Leave my FemJoy and MetArt alone! I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. | |

I'm with you, Drooler. Too many site owners give in and you end up with a mixture that won't please anyone very much. These sites practically beg for a once a year subscription rather than a quarterly one because it usually takes them that long to build up a bit of material that appeals to a particular taste (be it softcore or hardcore). | |

I wasn't aware that softcore sites had started shooting hardcore content. I'm a mostly hardcore site guy so I don't often visit sofcore sites. What suprises me the most is that it makes very little sense from a business stand point. People that own softcore sites have to know that the reason they have members is because their content is not hardcore. Of course it's quite possible that they are making less and less money each year because people have only so much money for porn and they've made the choice top spend it on HC content. My sites are not going hardcore while I'm still in charge of them! I think a lot of sites over the past year or so have felt pressurised to move towards hardcore to attract a wider range of customers due to the financial climate. I wouldn't like that either, RustyJ. Sites should stick to their "original" theme, that's why we chose them in the first place. As I said, I subscribe to some hardcore sites myself, so I'm not anti-hardcore, I am just upset with sites trying to be everything to everybody until, eventually, no one actually gets enough of what they like during the usual one month subscription. BTW, which HC sites are slipping solo way .. I haven't noticed that trend among any of mine? The only trend I have noticed is from soft to harder contents in most (primarily) photo sites.  | |

I don't think they will ever blow in our direction again, graymane, because many of the male population look at entirely too much porn since the Internet came into existence, and just like with drugs, many need stronger and stronger stuff to give them the same kick. So the trait, IMO, will tend to continue to go from soft material to stronger to extreme. There are exceptions to this, of course, I don't want to paint everyone with the same brush. | |

I still contend that the trend is towards softer porn, *except* that those who don't like extreme porn are continually irritated at the progression extreme porn has taken to ridiculous extremes - not everyone wants to see the insides of girls' asses, nor even think that the girls must perform these acts as requirement to work in the biz... that those who prefer soft porn are buying less and less just out of disgust. Just my theory and nothing more. What sites have gone harder? X-Art has. Joymii, but that was a separate site. 21Sextury is harder. Beyond that I do not know. 1By-Day is softer. Sapphic-Erotica & InFocusGirls have gone softer. Only-Tease seems to have picked up very strongly past couple years and they are about as soft as it gets. I guess you could say Only-Tease is harder because now most sets include bare-bottom shots while in years past sets rarely had the girl taking her panties/nylons off. Breath-Takers has more nudity too, but I think that is a good thing for their site. Certainly gone are the days of non-nude models, I don't ever expect another Peachez18 or Jana Rocks site. Been busy - first time I see this thread by messmer...... But, man - I agree. (Oh, I dig hc/b/g, too... no problems - but lets have more solo girl sites, still)) An old timer like me just appreciated some of those soft core deals - even in sites including hc - like DDF for a start - and then Teendreams.com. - and the first Nubiles - just to mention a few from a time when the first - somewhat - ok quality solo vids came on.. Was and still is a great fan of fine solo vids - but "the pickings are getting slim". I remember the first vids from several sites - but those few mentioned especially. Both have let down the fine, erotic and refined solo vid deals at the expense of more "hc-masturbation", too many/too long close-ups and dildos in still more variations. If some here still got the old solo vids from around 2005/06/07 of Teendreams - see what I mean - the same goes for DDF - just to mention those two sites again... I'd say like Drooler about FemJoy, Metart....and Amour Angels and AV Erotica ect.: Leave those site to the solo deals - pix and vids... Bottom line: Guess we (the solo-lovers) are becoming a minority..... Thanks for the thread here, messmer!!! I was thinking more of photo sites, anyonebutme, when I wrote the above. Favorite sites of mine like: Anilos, ATK Natural & Hairy, All Over 30, Abby Winters .. they've all started to add more and more hardcore material. Can't be sure of how much when it comes to AW but I know that they have added b/g content since my last subscription. At the beginning they were pure softcore with some midcore (masturbation with dildoes etc.)thrown in but the voices for harder contents are persistent. Why they don't go to sites that give them all the hardcore they want in the first place is beyond my comprehension. | |
