^The only warning I'm going to give you is that if you aren't a fan of 80's or before songs than you may have some issues with more than one scene in the movie because quite a few songs are key elements in those scenes. I am so this added a very pleasant element to those scenes. Long live the Brown Coats.

No, no, I loved the trailer that featured 'hooked on a feelin' rather heavily. It was a sci-fi adventure trailer with a comedy feel.

It's been nearly a year since anyone posted in this thread and frankly the bulk of the movies released last year were so bad that I simply didn't want to talk about any of them, The only movie I have seen in theater in the last 3 months is Jurassic World and although it's more of a sequel/soft sequel. It is still a very, very good movie. I don't want to compare it to the first movie because without that one none of the following one would ever have been made but it is so much better than any of the sequels. Chris Pratt again is excellent in this movie. Of course with the over 1 billion at the box office. There is a very good chance that we will see a sequel to this sequel and it's likely to be awful. I'm willing to wait until I know more about it before complaining. Long live the Brown Coats.

Have you seen the trailer for the new Steve Jobs biopic? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEr6K1bwIVs I didn't see the Steve Jobs biopic with Ashton Kutcher, but the upcoming movie looks much more interesting. I talked with one of the guys who worked on the movie, and he said they took enormous pains to make the movie historically accurate, using actual locations and trying to simulate the machines and software from the actual events. Plus, Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen as the lead actors, and Danny Boyle as the director. This is one movie I am going to see in the theater. The movie trailer is fantastic. I just hope the movie is as good.

^No I haven't but I tend to steer clear of any biopic movies or books. Call me a cynic but I think it is next to impossible to accurately portray anyone on screen without making them look better or worse then they were. Add the fact that we have already had a Job biopic. I know choosing Ashton was a bad idea and that must have been part of why the movie bombed but do we really need a movie about a man who albeit a genius was kind of a dick? I agree that Steve Jobs was a dick, in his personal life, and almost certainly in his business life. But he was recognized as a genius, because of the financial success of his companies. And he certainly had a flair for self-promotion. I don't think the new movie will try to over-glorify Jobs. And maybe people who really knew Jobs will dis-agree with the movie's portrayal of Jobs. But like I said, the movie has an excellent cast of actors, who will be trying to bring parts of Job's history to the screen. The brief movie clip I saw was very impressive. It had humor, sharp dialogue, and seemed to create a very interesting portrait of one of the most successful businessmen of the 20th century. I'm not going to see the movie as a fan of Jobs. I'm going because I think the movie itself could be one of the best movies of the year.

It's kind of amazing how Gates turned out out to be the guy who had his shit together in the Gates/Jobs duo. He married a smart woman, had a family, turned his attention to what he could do to help humanity while he was still young and energetic. Who'd have predicted it when Gates was the super-nerdy, super-ambitious vulture guy in the tech/business world. Go Nerds!

Ant-Man, a new superhero movie from Marvel, opens tomorrow (Friday, July 17). I'll probably wait for the DVD, or maybe even cable. $10 for a movie ticket. Another $10 or more for a small popcorn and a drink. You wait a few months, it costs less than $2.00 to rent a DVD from Redbox. Or you can watch it for free (if you are already paying for a cable subscription).

^I think I'm getting all marveled out because I didn't go see the Avenger 2 and I don't think I'm going to go see Ant-Man either. It was one thing when you had more or less stand alone Marvel movies that worked fine by themselves and you didn't have any crossover arcs but once Avengers was made then you could not really deal with stand alone Marvel movies anymore because we have been shown that these characters can and do work together. At least you hade some other Marvel characters in Captain America 2 but where were those Marvel superheroes I Thor 2? You are telling me that an invasion in New York requires the assembling of the Avengers but because the action is in Europe then the superheroes aren't going to battle a new invader? Of course the price of a movie ticket and theater food prices does help me make sound decisions when it comes to which movie I will see in a theater and which ones will be seen from the comfort of my living rook. Long live the Brown Coats.

Or you can go to putlocker and watch the movie for free the day after it hits a theater lol. If you want high Def wait for the movie to be sold in blueray then you will get to watch it free in HD. 1Ti 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

I enjoyed Captain American 1 much more than Captain America 2: better plot, more traditional values (America versus Nazis, instead of modern conspiracy theories about secret organizations taking over the government), plus I liked the Part 1 futuristic submarine, car, plane, etc. which had an art-deco feel instead of the Part 2 inventions which did not seem that interesting or artistic.

True but I try to avoid doing the free movie sites as this is tantamount to stealing content. I know you can argue that since I wasn't going to go see it in a theater than I'm not really stealing anything but doing something like that is a slippery slope. At some point you willingly choose to not pay for a movie and simply watch it for free and that is stealing(at least for me it is). Long live the Brown Coats.

Captain America 1 is one of my favorite super hero movies of all time. Good story, good character development, a great choice of actors that are all well casted and they have good chemistry between themselves. Cap 2 is an enjoyable movie but it is quite dark in nature and manages to reduce all the good things Shield was known for to instead being the actions of modern day Nazis. Another problem with Cap 2 and all subsequent sequels to the other Marvel franchise is that it no longer makes sense for any of these characters to be in the movie all by themselves. I know Cap 2 had Black Widow and that was cool but you can't tell me that Steve Rogers wouldn't have contacted Iron Man the moment it was discovered that Hydra had infiltrated Shield? Long live the Brown Coats.

I just saw Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) on cable today. Directed by Zack Snyder. What a disappointment. Totally glad I did not pay to see this in a theater. Totally glad I did not pay $1.50 to rent this at Redbox. I did watch the entire movie. Once. Would I ever watch it again? Doubtful. 300, by Zach Snyder, was total fantasy. But it was enjoyable. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) was total crap. Just my opinion. But the story was stupid. I could not root for either Batman or Superman. Maybe Lex Luthor was supposed to be the real hero. If Luthor could wipe out both Batman and Superman, Luthor could then rule the world, and do a better job than either of those two "heroes".

I forgot that Snyder directed 300. That was a fun movie, silly but very watchable, I've seen it probably 3 times. Never bothered with the sequel, not sure if it is worth the 2 hours. Batman v. Superman entirely lost me when they cast Ben Affleck, but the elevator pitch is patently silly, as this is what would logically happen: http://www.passfailstudios.com/index.php?id=2 I also haven't been motivated to see it since literally everything I've read and everyone I know whose seen it has had the same reaction as you. Currently, the only cinema Batman that matters to me is Lego Batman — I'm very much looking forward to that film! I was never a Superman fan anyway. (Though Lois & Clark was pretty fun.)
