What do people go for in cam shows? The only cam shows I have much experience with have been the public and private ones at MET, and I liked them a lot. I wrote about how they *used* to be over here https://www.pornusers.com/replies_view.html?id=49568 Basically, you could get to know the model in a public chat setting, and then decide if you wanted to have a private chat. It was the online equivalent of the parlor in a brothel, I guess. The public cam shows were the only thing MET had in terms of a "community" feature, since members got to know each other a little at the same time as we ogled at and chatted with the model. That seems to be all over as of today. Now, MET has switched to what looks like the same kind of porn cams you see everywhere else, and I don't have any experience with those. I'm curious as to what kind of experiences Pornusers have had with those. | |

It's hard to believe that the elimination of the unique cam shows that Met Art used to have was due to any popular demand. I suspect that it's more about economics. They used to have to pay the models to do those shows. Now they've got just the same kind of cam model set-up that is all over the internet and they probably get some percentage of the private shows their members buy. It's too bad - their cam shows were unique and sexy, though I didn't avail my self of them all that often and they were never all that well attended. So I suppose that Met Art decided to make an economic decision and end them. Most private shows are probably just the girl masturbating while saying, "ooh, oh yeah, don't you want your dick in my pussy?", etc Girls that are more pro cam models, like Aaliyah Love, schedule shows so they can satisfy guy's detailed kinks. The cam shows at Met were a really nice bonus. I didn't appreciate all the audience members, but in the main, the audience was OK. Not as friendly as the members at PU, tho.  But the girls were very nice, as well. Some of them were really friendly, and put on a nice show. It didn't seem like the cold "professional" style cam show, or strip show. And it was basically a soft-core presentation that I often enjoyed. (I doubt that many people got off on these shows. It was almost more like a friendly family gathering where you got to see some nudity. Lol.) | |

The shows were generally pretty well attended, at least for the more popular models. Only about a quarter of the people attending participated in chat, even for the popular models, but there were a lot of lurkers. I sent an email to MET about the change, and according to the reply I received today, I'm not the only one unhappy about it. Anyway, I'm not holding my breath about the old shows coming back. I have no doubt that this change was made with a view toward the bottom line. It looks like they did a deal with the folks who run Streamate and a boatload of other small cam sites, judging by Robtex data and shared models. | |

I've never tried the cam shows at Met Art but generally I'm not interested in the shows. Every once in a while I'll click into one and watch for a minute, get bored and leave. I've never paid for the ability to do the private chats but honestly I can't imagine it gets much better. | |

Met Art has a note up now that the unique cam shows they used to have will be returning once they work out the bureaucratic and other kinks associated with their move to a new host. | |

Yes, that's basically what I do as well, Goldfish. I usually watch a few minutes and leave. I would never think of going "private" because to me, as a married man, it's always been a line I should not cross. | |
