Cancelling membership at various sites Hey everyone. What happens if I sign up on porn site and choose for example 1 month recurring membership, but when the month is up I do not cancel my membership and there is no money left on the bank account I signed up with? And what happens if like after a month I transfer more than enough money for another month to the bank account? Will they automatically take money for 1 month then or is this the same as cancelling the membership? Sorry for my bad english, not my native language  | |

I'm not entirely sure how it works with direct bank account access (to be honest: I wouldn't recommend that way, I always prefer CC for safety reasons), but I assume it's treated just like any other automatic debit system. If your account doesn't have enough money on it and the debit is bouncing, your membership will be cancelled until you renew it. | |

It seems simpler to use a credit card instead of a bank account. In the United States, if there is a charge on a bank account, and there is not enough money in the account, the customer will be charged an extra fee for insufficient funds. And the customer will have to pay the extra fee, or it will be turned over to a debt collection agency, and you will then have problems with your credit rating. | |

Ok, thanks a lot for the answer. I usually use entropay, so I transfer the exact amount of money I need from my bank account to my virtual visa card on entropay, and use that card to buy membership at various sites. What I was wondering is I don't break any laws or something by not having enough money on that card while the recurring membership is still active. I've had problems with cancelling membership on porn sites before, so I'm really wondering by only transfering enough money to pay for one month on a porn site to my card on entropay and just don't cancel the membership when the month is up, if that's virtually the same as cancelling the membership by calling them or sending an e-mail or something. | |

Sorry, lk2fireone, I think I explained it poorly. I don't use direct access to my bank account, I meant a credit card. Either my real one or the one I explained in the post above, from entropay. | |

crazytwin, I think you asked an excellent question. I do not know the answer. I have sometimes wondered whether to use your pre-paid card method myself. If a site uses some obscure own-billing instead of CCBill, Epoch, Segpay or NetBilling, I will not give it my credit card details. A prepaid card might be a way to join such sites. There are a few exceptions. I have signed up with Karups for years. They do their own billing but I have never had a problem with them. | |
