New MYPORN.COM landing page! Launch date now Q2 2015. For those that have been following our development knows this project has evolved dramatically. What started out as TBP/PU version 2013, grew into a multi-site project under the myporn.com domain, has now settled comfortably in as simply MYPORN.COM. Visit our new landing page, just released a few hours ago: http://www.myporn.com/ There is no mistake about it, we're shooting beyond the stars. We've doubled the size of our development team and are producing things I couldn't have dreamed of last year. In my gut, I see this as not only a game changer, but possibly a new game altogether. Tubes were invented about 8 years ago and changed the entire landscape, most say for the worse. Today, not only do they control the vast majority of adult traffic. Revenue to premium producers took a nose dive, due to the poor tube business model which favors ads. The market we're creating will be a "freemium" business model with no ads. We'll be the first (as far as I know) to convert a sale directly from the free movies themselves. This puts the money (which we'll split) directly into the producers pocket and offer additional exposure to their brand/site. Not only that, but it rewards the highest quality studios. This is a unanimous victory for porn, and especially fans. We need YOUR help to spread the word to all your porn loving friends about this venture. You guys have been my sounding board from the beginning. Every piece of input has been carefully analyzed and applied. I can't wait to show you guys more, but that'll have to wait. It tells me I have word spelled wrong, but has no device to correct the spelling. I go to my Live Mail to find the correct spelling. I then copy the correction and paste to whatever forum post I'm writing in. I also keep a dictionary and thesaurus next to me if I want to find more colorful words for dramatic effect. Of all the bells and whistles that forums add over the years, I'm surprised when this one item is never considered. Live Mail is my dearest friend. But I'm not trying to belittle your work. The site your building is going to much more then I and I suspect most here thought was being devised. I will most certainly have great fun exploring the new playground you are creating. Biker, when your browser indicates a misspelled word, try right-clicking your mouse pointer over the word. I know several of my browsers offer spelling corrections that way. If that doesn't work with your set-up, you might try an add-on utility. I'm sure there are several but here's one I had book-marked (before I upgraded my computer). http://tinyspell.numerit.com/ hope that helps. It pains me to rain on your excitement Rick, but this progression of postponement is rather sad. In my book it would be preferable to have waited till your site was finished before enthusiastically promoting it and then disappointment by delay. I realize that it's an evolving process but I'm sorry you involved us in the mix. We were floating along rather happily and the expectation you set up was one of immediate change, though the only change we see is that those expectations were not met. I sort of liked the vivid display you had in Q1 2014 over the current one. My own excitement & enthusiasm is waning my friend... but then I'm just an ol porn dog so I'm sure in the big picture it matters not. I feel you and in hindsight I jumped the gun with the initial announcement last year. I should have been more patient and waited until we were further along. However, it's tough to regret my choice either. At the time I was so excited to be working again and wanted to show the community I was actively working on a new project. My excitement got the best of me and as the project evolved, and evolving more, we had to make some tough choices resulting in an overall direction change and re-built interface. I understand where you and I assume others are coming from. It frustrates me to when companies delay (and delay) their release dates. I whole heartedly apologize for disrupting the chemistry at the time. As far as the interface, it's far superior to the old. After we released the preview pages in January, I sought out opinions from a number of my trusted friends and it caused me to re-think what we had built. I'm glad I did because the result is unparallel. It'll respond to your browser size (from mobile, tablet, desktop, to full HD) unlike the old and is more compact. There were too many moving parts with the former and had issues with cross-browser compatibility. It was a tough choice and kept me up many nights, but ultimately I know it was the right one. I own a few greats sites I love and have passion for the first big one. I did the same thing Rick. I ran out and showed everyone my new shinny toy. Problem was the batteries were not installed for the toy yet and the remote was on order. I am about 6 months in on a huge project that now is finally starting to feel like its where it should have been before I announced it. My newest project again huge, is not promoted, only family knowns and I am fine tuning it to be perfect. Getting search engines and promotion going now, working it to where it needs to be. I feel ya Rick, its fun to create stuff and like you I did something not really done before. The rule is not only to improve in what others do, but do it different, learned that in business college, also learned when I ignored that things go flop. Just like JB, Yea I did the same thing, the what the hell thing was in my head allot. But After making the same mistake it was clear what occurred here too. Hi, I very much like the new look of the site. I agree it would of been better as you know now Rick if you'd of announced it this year, but things change as I too develop websites and its really hard to plan for all uncertainties. 3 months can so turn to 6 months with things you take down another path with developing cause you get new ideas as you go along. Its great its now turned into a bigger project and looks exciting stuff. Good luck with it all. Last question does it offer like individual movies from loads of studios that sign up to the site. Unfortunately that's correct. One of the main ingredients we had sacrifice were the galleries to scale down the site. The initial list of sites/features were way too overambitious. Our goal is to offer comprehensive library starting with the top studios (and the newest movies) in our industry. As we grow, we'll branch out to all niches, etc. The secret ingredient will be in how simple it will be to "follow" your favorites and get fb-like notifications when they add new movies. So if I get this correctly - myporn.com is essentially a third party go between for a specific contracted group of providers & end users by offering teasers & discounts. The provider group is going to be limited to whomever you are able to contract with. Does this mean, the listings & reviews of the current PU provider database will be culled to those that you are able to contract with? If so, the 'My' in myporn refers only to Rick & A$$ociate$. Not trying to be contentious, but that's currently how thebestporn.com operates anyhow; as far as I know, TBP is already an affiliate of every site they review. Almost all affiliate programs offer content to their affiliates,(review sites just don't need it for their method of promotion). The only hurdle I can envisage lies in the amount of content they'd need; they might need more content than is given to affiliates by default (depending on the site). Negotiating this is far from unheard of, however (e.g. tube sites). | |

Reviews will not be limited to only sites the content partners. The reviews and forums are a huge part of the site. We've built the forum software from the ground up to include features you won't find anywhere. Everything works together in harmony. I'll give you an example of how we're more than just a video streaming site.  This is a window into the site profile page, where you'll find similar site facts (as TBP), feature options on the left (movies, reviews, forum, and models). You'll be able to access not only all of the movies they have with us, but instantly view the overall reputation, reviews from real people, a dedicated forum, and a list of all models. Further down the page you'll find a list of site representatives where you can easily view their community reputation, and general comments about the site. Besides the forum, we're building a private messaging system also from the ground up. Industry and consumers alike will be able to message each other or create a group discussion. Imagine someday keeping all of your important private adult-related conversations away off of your desktop and conveniently in one location. There will be push notifications fb-style which I've received death threats from my programmers (you know, in so many words). When you have a vast array of services, such notifications (and there's around 30 notification types) become invaluable. It took a lot of might and emotion to scatch our initial plans, but it was done to improve the overall product. I promise the wait will be worth it. So labeling myporn.com as "Teasers & Discounts" misses the mark completely and is borderline insulting. BTW, the free HD "teasers" will avg about 15 minutes in length.
