What is your system ?

If I might ask ...

1. What is your current operating system?
2. What is you primary browser (and what version)?
3. Do you have/use a back-up browser?
4. Do you plan on upgrading either (or both) in the near future.

Thanks in advance for sharing this info. Former PornUsers Senior Administrator

I use IE, Firefox and Chrome - the latest versions of each - they all do well on some things, drive me crazy in other ways. Both Firefox and Chrome have a hell of a time dealing with the recent versions of Shockwave, for instance.

IE's upgrades roll out with all the other Windows upgrades, and Firefox upgrades every week, it seems, so the only browser that stays static is Chrome.

I like my current computer, so I'll keep it as long as I can with Windows 7, which I also like.

I'm (sort of) glad you said that. I thought it was just my computer. Yeah - it's a pain. Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

2-I use IE 10 for about 85% of my surfing.
3-Firefox is the other browser that I use.
4-I love Win 7 so no plans to change for a long time to come. I like(but not love) IE10 so no plans to change except to a better version of IE and the same for Firefox. Long live the Brown Coats.

4 Yes - before end of the year if all goes to plan.

I can't even get IE to run. It takes about 3-4 mins to open a browser window then usually crashes on the 1st couple of pages shown. For some reason it also takes forever to download/render webpages.

I'm assuming Firefox updates in the background as I haven't noticed it update in months. I used to notice as every time they did an update all my plugins stopped working. I don't have any plugins at all now.

I mostly use Chrome. It rarely seems to go a week before there is an update pending. Not had any problems with shockwave. Webmaster of StripGameCentral and A Measure of Curiosity.

4. Not exactly sure what you mean. Don't want to switch to Windows 8 and don't want to switch browsers and the current main browser updates itself. And I've had to use my backup browser only twice due to blocked scripting issues and only for the site I was having troubles with. If it ain't grits, it must be a Yankee.

1. Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard of the gigantic cat family that is Apple ).
2. Firefox 28/latest version.
3. Have Google Chrome and Safari installed but never use them; FF creature of habit.
4. New and upgrade versions of Apple OSs are quite cheap*, but I don't like Lion.

* Just found out their latest OS upgrade is free, even from SL, so I might do an update. (There's probably still Foxconn child labor involved somehow. ) "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? 1. Windows Shitsome 7
2. Firefox 27.0.1 ... Nope, just got 28 while reading this poll.
3. Internet Exploder (the deflated tire in the car trunk backup) and Chrome
4. No.

One of the more ridiculous experiences I have with Windows 7 is when it requires me to give myself permission to move, rename, etc. a file. It's a shame that Microsoft rules the OS world. The only thing they've excelled at is aggressive marketing. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Mar 25, 2014, 04:15pm

Upgraded to Mavericks the other day, and I have to say it's a nice upgrade so far, and for free I certainly can't complain about the price (though the 5GB download took a little time).

A lot of aesthetic changes that are subtle but give enough of a "cleaner" look without losing functionality. But I like the change of labeling files (basically giving them a color, from a choice of six) to tags so you can now add a huge number of your own. Of course once I realized I might not want to keep tags like "girl-girl" and "fisting" on my computer I just kept them as comments. It has made my organizing easier and smoother, always helpful in my book.

Don't like the name though; it keeps reminding me of this guy. "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it?
