Slow times and strange days in the world of porn

The year 2015 really marks both a slow and strange year in the world of porn. I just had one of those experiences that really makes you stop and wonder.

There was once an obscure site called NicoLotus.com. It wasn't a membership site, but it linked to her clips on clips4sale.com. It featured a beautiful, young Czech model called Nico Lotus. It got my attention when she began filming My Daily Pee - a project where she set out to film a new self-shot peeing video every day of the year. She made it from October to March, and then the video updates stopped. I asked her about it, but didn't hear anything back. Assuming the worst, that the videos would be down soon, I bought all her peeing videos on clips4sale.com. It cost over $500 and I asked myself at the time if it was really worth it or if I overpaid.

One of the cool features of C4S it that you can see a list of top selling clips for each store. The stores that haven't sold anything don't list anything, and if you buy from them, you will see all your sales populate the list. This was the case with Nico Lotus' store on C4S. Not only did I buy all her peeing videos, but I was apparently the only one to buy them.

Just today, I checked back in, and saw that she has let her domain expire and deleted all her videos on clips4sale.com.

So, what just happened here? Apparently, her clips4sale.com store served only one purpose in it's short existence. To pass on her entire pee video library to me in exchange for $500. Now I very well may have the only copies of her videos in existence.

I hope all is well with Nico. It's a sign of the slow times that a clip store can come and go like this. As I look through what now may be the only copies of these great videos in the world, I've got to say, $500 was worth it. Now they can't be had for any price. Better to be pissed on, than to be pissed off.

Hmm...I guess since you like that particular fetish so much and they are now all gone it was worth it--and certainly hope it's just a case of retirement and nothing more serious. I'm into it as well, but I've never bought anything off C4S, nor have I ever been one to seriously "follow" a particular model. Whether it be social media generally or a personal site I've tried to keep a certain distance between myself and whoever makes the porn I happen to come upon and enjoy.

I will admit that lately, or at least since earlier this year, I've developed a bad habit of looking up a model or two (or however many a scene may have) from the latest video I've downloaded and see if they have a Twitter feed. The vast majority do, or at least the ones who are currently doing porn for a living, but they are all frankly interchangeable as far as I can tell.

Of those who go to the trouble of maintaining a personal account, they all seem to be some variant of a vegetarian stoner with a love for selfies and alcohol, which I guess is typical for a lot of women in their early twenties who aren't too inhibited with social media. Nothing wrong with any of this, of course, it's just breaks down the fantasy element of their performances. (The boyfriend pic certainly offers a good reason as any to not be too devoted of a fan.)

In a sense I missed the mystery or at least the sense of anonymity from a few years ago, even with the occasional disappearing act, like with Nico above. I've found a couple of women who currently have a non-porn web presence years after retiring, which still seems a little weird when you can just open up a ten year old video of theirs on a hard drive like it was shot yesterday.

Hopefully this will be the case with Nico as well. "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. ^I try as much as possible to avoid reading the tweets that various porn performers are wont to write because doing so tends to sour them to me. If I'm to believe what many of the current performers write than most of them tend to spend their days in a haze of weed smoke, going or coming back from a bar, complaining about a variety of things or asking fans to buy them stuff. Long live the Brown Coats.

Great to see you back.

I'm not into following pornstars on twitter either. Never had the urge. Actually, I'm not into twitter much in general. In the handful of pornstar tweets that I have read, it is funny that weed does come up a lot. Better to be pissed on, than to be pissed off.

Thanks, LPee23.

The weed thing is at least partly due to the Southern California culture; it's on billboards (all the "doctors" that will write you a prescription), clothing, bumper stickers, and there seem to be as many dispensaries--since it's all medicinal, of course --as there are coffee places.

I guess if you're into it, have fun, though I'm mostly indifferent; it's about as interesting and as profound as people posting photos of their food. Though there's a little bit of disconnect if you gab about "health" food and organic crap, whilst extolling your love of something that's frequently consumed through inhaling its smoke. And this isn't just porn star-level intellect, it's also an unfortunate part of Southern California. "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it?
