Warcraft Movie Are there any fellow World of Warcraft players out there? People who played the older versions as well as the newer version? If so, pleased to meet you!  Just wondering if anyone saw the epic Warcraft movie this week-end that certainly stimulated my inner nerd and made me squeal like a child when I saw BLIZZARD come across the screen.  I thought the movie was very well done and appeases the fans/players as well as gives a fantastic introduction to Warcraft lore to those new to the scene. Great flick!  | |

Not a gamer. I saw Warcraft this last Sunday. I enjoyed it. The theater was mainly empty. The movie is only doing so-so business in the states, but doing very well overseas. The plot seems very dense, with a lot of major players, so it seems easier to watch the movie as a spectacle, instead of trying to bond with any characters. Especially since so many of them keep dying. | |

I liked it. I am a gamer, but have never touched the Warcraft series, unfortunately. I went in with a completely neutral expectation of it, and walked out satisfied. You don't understand. A garage. I can't even pull in there. It's like going to a prostitute. Why should I pay, when if I apply myself, maybe I could get it for free?- George Costanza | |

I've never played any Warcraft games except that very first one which was 22 years ago so I may be wrong but I read that the movie is more or less based on that very first game. I saw the movie and visually it is nice looking and the effects are spectacular but it's still a huge mess that is sorely lacking in a plot. The movie introduces a bunch of characters doing a bunch of things that in the end mean almost nothing because... **Spoilers do not read beyond if you want to see movie** They all die and the movie ends in a gigantic cliffhanger. It also doesn't help that the advertising implies a very different movie than what you ultimately get. Long live the Brown Coats. | |
