Are you sure it was Verotel who rejected your credit card? If your card is working normally everywhere else and your account is in good standing, it's more likely your credit card issuer declined the transaction as potentially fraudulent to protect you. This is very common - I often get my card declined via Verotel and other sites, but it's the credit card company doing it because it looks suspicious to them - for example it's in a foreign country and a foreign currency. They do a security call, I tell them the transaction was genuine, I confirm they declined the transaction the first time and simply pay again - this time they are expecting it so they allow the transaction to go through. I'd talk to your credit card company - tell them the transaction you tried was genuine.

Is it possible that this card was used in a transaction where you did a charge-back or requested a refund? I ask because I've heard of cases where such actions will result in a card being flagged so it can no longer be used for adult sites. Heard that too: like if you once in a transaction with - guess any billing co - claims: fraud, you'll get a refund, but that certain credit card will no longer be accepted. Quite reasonable in my opinion. And also a protection for you..... "I don't drink anymore - I freeze it, and eat it like a popcicle"

I have never faced any problem with verotel. I think you should contact to your credit card issuer

I've had that problem before with both verotel and ccbill, where I tried to sign up to websites while abroad and been refused because the transaction was suspicious or whatever, then tried to sign up to the same sites at home and had no problem whatsoever. I think with at least some of these cases that its down to the billing company. It seems that with some cc processors if the ip address of the computer you're on doesn't match the country that your credit card number is registered in, your signup will be declined. I'm pretty sure its an anti-fraud measure and it may also be a way of preventing people getting around regional pricing issues. Talk to your CC company as GPL said and also get in contact with Verotel, it may be a security measure of theirs that is inadvertently hindering you.

^It makes perfect sense and I applaud any CC Processor who does the same. This afterall protects customers who get their card number stolen and someone in another country or State tries to use it to buy porn or whtever else the CC processor offers. I doubt that most if any CC processor uses this to prevent people from getting around the regional pricing. I'm only aware of CCBill being the one to to regional pricing. Most of the others tend to charge a few dollars more when processing a card form a country other than the site. Long live the Brown Coats.
