I'd give my collection an objective rating in the 50s.

-Size: huge, if some cop took a look at my hard drive; small, compared to the pervs that have infiltrated the PU site.

-Variety: almost all pictures. Very small amount of vids. The vids are mainly short clips. The pix are mainly softcore European teens.

-Organization/layout: personal. The pix are mainly sorted by site and model. The vids are thrown into different folders with no real order.

Collection rating for PU members: limited. They would take a look at my collection, and demand a refund on their membership fee: Non-exclusive content, lack of hc, lack of vids, yada...yada...yada.

I would give my collection an 84%. Pretty high, but then again, I'm very picky of what I download and toss away average stuff pretty quickly.

Others would probably give it a 70% or so since most of the stuff is solo and softcore lesbian action.

Good timing for this one!

I just bought a new Iomega Prestige 1.5 TB hard drive and was moving content to and from my hard drives. First, I'm obsessed with organization. Not just porn either, I built a shelf with sliders on it to organize my 5,000 cd collection.

This will show that I am pretty picky about porn that stays on my hard drives.

Right now, I have a 1 TB and 1.5 TB Iomega Prestige externals hooked up and a 1 TB hard drive in my computer.

These drives are big enough to hold the majority of my content and still have room for 500-750 GB of content. The two externals when opened, you first see model's names. When you click a name, you see folders with site names on them. When you click a folder with a site's name on it, you see two folders, one for pictures, one for videos.

I have a total of 36 of these models that are in those two drives. Everything is organized the same way, model>site name>pictures or videos.

The quality on those are all above average, unless the occasional old set is in there. These models are my favorites. I don't really go out of my way to find any rare content of them though. The content is mostly the well-known sites and most of these models have tons of content on those sites, models like Sandra Shine, Aneta Keys, Aria Giovanni are the ones in these 36.

I then have 3 older externals that equal 1.25 TB, though not hooked up, they are filled within 10 GB of being full. These are site specific like a 300 GB Videobox folder in one. On these files, though not separated by model, the files are renamed according to the model in the video. I don't specify title of the video or any of that, instead, letting the Windows add a number to each file and downloading them from oldest to newest, so you get something like this EvaAngelina(1), EvaAngelina(2), so I can go back and check her newest videos and know which ones I need from that site. All 3 of these externals are organized the same way. And I always download the highest quality available.

Then to my two Eve Angel drives. These are Western Digital 500 GB each. The level of organization would probably get me checked into an institution. Separated by site name folders, then picture/videos folder. I have also went back and renamed all the files and graded them on a 1-10 scale on her performance in the videos. The picture sets are re-named to tell what kind of outfit, setting and my 1-10 rating again. I have nearly 300 GB of Eve content and have made a copy of it all on the second drive in case one fails.

So, my bottom line score would be in the 90s for me, but I would guess some would complain about lack of variety since a good portion of the collection is solo or g/g. Unless you pull out the 1.25 TB of various hardcore videos. Oh and of the Eve content, there is one set that scored a 7 on my 1-10 scale, everything else is 8 or higher!

Fun topic My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. I looked down at my sloppy handful of junk and thought, This is going to make me rich. - Chuck Palahniuk

An interesting question - one I had to give some thought to.

I've shown very few people what all I have here. I'm sure some of the content I've collected over the years would leave people looking at me suspiciously (for lack of a better word). To clarify that, I'll just say that, along with the dozens of site rips I have, I also have a considerable amount of fetish stuff that I've downloaded, more out of curiosity than actual interest. I keep everything I download because I'm a collector. There's definitely nothing illegal on my drives! Anyway, out of the half dozen that have seen what's here, four of them have asked me if I'd consider cloning hard drives for money. I'm pretty anal when it comes to organization and, since I'm not joining too many sites these days, have actually started using Excel to create a database so I can find what I'm looking for. I guess it's impressive enough 'cuz they've pointed out the variety and the organization and obviously thought enough of it to offer to pay me so they can have what I have. So, to answer the question of how I'd rate my collection, I'd have to say it would be somewhere in the mid nineties.

To those who might be curious if I've ever accepted the money, it might surprise you that I won't do it. Aside from the ethical question of selling someone elses' copyrighted material, I guess I just feel like this is my collection - You want it? Go get it yourself. Guess I'm just greedy. :evil grin: Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity. Edited on Apr 02, 2009, 01:54pm

Just a thought for the less computer-savvy among us.

If my PC developed problems or I wanted to add peripherals/whatever, I would never bring it into a Best Buy computer section or any computer shop. For the simple reason I've read where people brought their computers in for repair, and the police were notified there was illegal porn on the computer. The definition of illegal porn is iffy, as far as I know. But I don't want to pay for a lawyer just because I tried to have my PC fixed.

This is a difficult question as it is hard to be objective. For my own tastes, the collection is excellent, scoring easily in the low 90's. The only thing holding it back is an easy, tag driven search engine.

But many people would find it lacking in the amount of content as it weighs in at a measly 412 Gigabytes right now. That said, it does span a huge range of content, 34 networks right now. Pretty much you name a type of content and it will be represented somewhere in the collection. It is also meticulously organized; so much so that each of the folders has custom icons or images to represent them.

Without the penalty of the lack of a search engine, I think it would reasonably garner a rank in the 80's from most users due to the organizational system and breadth of content, despite its smallish size. But perhaps I'm a little too nice on myself. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Lol. I think that even if my computer caught fire I would be hesitant to call the fire department. I am a pretty private and paranoid person when it comes to my personal life and, quite frankly, the authorities can go and spend their time solving real problems, whether they are an overrated computer store or an underpaid, but overpowered, government agency (and I am not talking about the local fire department here).

I am really not sure how my own collection would score because I would simply ask that people not judge me, whether it be in tastes, size, organization, or simply a total lack of any of these. I understand by some standards (say badandy's) the overall size of my collection might only be a bookshelf compared to his Library of Congress-proportioned stash, and many, if not all, of my tastes might be, well, acquired to the say the least.

I would not be surprised at a score in the low to mid 60s, and I do not think 70 or higher would even be possible. My organizational skills would probably destroy Google in a matter of seconds and I probably don't have much to appeal to the common man, or even the common pervert. My collection is not really even totally organized -- and it might never be -- and what is organized is more of how the source site divided it up, but that also includes countless empty folders of girls and scenes I missed or purposely skipped.

I think if you did a quick browse through my drives you might believe there was a lot more to certain things than there really is, and likewise there are also a lot of things that are not even close to what you are looking for. Actually if I got a really low score I would feel pretty proud because I have tweaked my collection to my own unique preferences and no one else's. "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? Mine would rate between 10 and 20. I just shovel everything into two external 500 GB drives. Videos in one and pictures into the other. But even that isn't a hard and fast rule because the video drive is starting to fill up a lot more quickly than the picture one, so lately I have even slapped some videos into the picture drive.

No organization, no labeling, no folders .. I like to surprise myself when I open my collection and pick something at random: "Gee, she's a doll and there I had forgotten all about her!" :-)

Lol. Thanks.

I believe that the more we would collect the more we would suit our stash to our tastes and not a wider audience. Think about it: your build your collection to a single viewer, you, and it would probably fail as a business model. This is probably why I could not effectively run a site.
