Human beings seem to love to categorize and re-categorize everything.

The problem with porn is that there's a moving target of human arousal. What was porn for me at puberty now wouldn't get a second glance from me. I still remember the outrageous arousal I experienced decades ago seeing a billboard with a woman lying on her stomach so one could see the fully clothed (yet incredibly arousing) curve of her buttocks.

"In olden times a glimpse of stocking was looked on as something shocking....." (from "Anything Goes")

In extreme Islamic culture a bare woman's face not covered by a veil is outrageously pornographic. The Burka would seem to make a glimpse of ANYTHING pornographic.

While it's certainly fun to group sexually arousing material, I feel we'll always be moving the goal posts as time goes by. Jay G

Interesting point Jay G. I agree that humans like to categorize things, I certainly do. I don't have a problem with the adding a mid-core, I just don't really think it will be all that helpful in describing/reviewing sites - as just like softcore, midcore is also an ill-defined term.

How much further can we really move the goal post for sexually arousing material? I certainly can't think of anything that hasn't been done before, although I'm sure someone will... Bunny Lebowski: I'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars.
Brandt: Ah hahahahaha! Wonderful woman. We're all, we're all very fond of her. Very free-spirited.

I think it may have been done, but how about a tiny scope camera and light planted in the back of a vagina recording the process from a new angle?

But what I'm waiting for is a way to transmit aromas or, better yet, tactile sensations.

I'd love to experience the raw tuna smell mixed with good perfume as we see a closeup of a stretched pussy.

And better yet, to be suffocated by Kelly Madison's fabulous boobs.

This is all true.

Nothing should be arbitrarily fixed.

I am just attempting to refine classifications a little to save folk time, money and frustration.

I wouldn't be surprised if the tactile sensation thing popped up soon. I think I'd pass on the super-extreme-close-ups or any kind of scratch and sniff punani... Bunny Lebowski: I'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars.

My comments were just comments. I am always trying to find good methods of organizing my collection and still am never satisfied with the way I categorize things. Doesn't stop the eternal quest I have to put everything in neatly organized boxes, though. Jay G

The whole scratch'n'sniff idea seemed daft to me. I still remember the attempts at getting video games to produce appropriate smells for "realism". There was a formula 1 racing game which produce smells of burning rubber, exhaust fumes and hot oil - the result was simply to make players fill nauseous within a few minutes.

I dread to imagine what an adult video library would smell like with hundreds of scratch'n'sniff titles on the shelves. Imagine if it was extended to zombie movies! Euurrgh. Webmaster of StripGameCentral and A Measure of Curiosity.

Maybe he's a psychic sniffer? He's able to smell the girls through the paper and also through time since VHS is pretty old school porn. Long live the Brown Coats.
