In Texas, it's illegal to grafitti someone's cow.

Just wanted to post that warning, in case any perverts happen to visit Texas.

I don't think California has passed any such law. But I am not a lawyer.

Maybe WittyGuy could comment, since he seems to be our resident legal expert?

...but apparently it is OK for young girls to have graffiti scribbled all over themselves....

If your average teen porn site is anything to go by!

I wouldn't say its grafitti, but in rural parts of Virginia cattleman have to completely cover-label cattle with markings spelling out the words "I'm a cow" so as the less-than-bright hunters won't mistakingly blow them away (thinkin' they're deer) with their elephant guns.

Probably a good thing. I firmly believe less hunters would be shooting other hunters if all hunters were forced to carry a large sign stating: "I am willing to surrender. Please don't shoot me first."

Or maybe that rule should only apply to the hunters that are willing to surrender. The signless hunters could be shot on sight, as a national sport.

LOL.....A repartee stroke of humorous genius, lk2fireaway.
That reply actually evolked one of those oldfashion "belly-laughs" .... that's so rare for me, anymore.

Oh, he probably will comment. Just wait until this December! LOL

I can see the point of legally protecting people's cattle from potential (and possibly intentional) mislabeling or "vandalism" such that the labels the owner put on the animal are made illegible.

Now, I don't know what you'd do if the owner's name is Kilroy ... I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Of course it's important to ban graffiti on cows in order to preserve our American values and stop us from heading down a dangerous and slippery slope. Everyone knows that bovine graffiti is a gateway drug to that cursed disease of cow tipping (no likes having to spend your nights at meetings saying "Hi, my name is ____ and I'm a cow tipper). Also, no one wants to be distracted while driving down the road and seeing all sorts of cows covered in advertising (do I really need to eat "mOre chikken"). Thus, Texas is simply leading the way in preserving cow decorum and civility ... thus keeping our cow population relaxed and healthy so they'll be more tasty when we eat 'em.

In actual attempt at using my remaining gray matter, I think the real reason for this law is to to make it illegal for cattle rustlers to mess with brand markings and claim roaming 4 legged, 4 stomached rudiments as their own. Texas probably has or had an open range law that let ranchers have their cattle roam and could easily be poached by devious long mustached desperados. So my guess is that "brand integrity" is probably a big deal there in Texas. Edited on Jan 11, 2011, 05:15pm

Agreed. The thing about British humour is that it often has the ring of truth, so maybe Ik2 has some true Brit blood in him.

Personally I have a preference for shooting all hunters. Come to think of it, shooting the ones who are willing to surrender would be far safer than shooting the ones who give you a fight. In the same way the best time to kick someone is when they're down, (unless they have a gun or bodyguard).

No such thing as a fair fight, because one side is always bigger, stronger, or better armed. Only concern is to make sure you're the one with the unfair advantage and therefore the winner. If you're not bigger, stronger, or better armed, pay someone who is.

Would it be alright if I grafittied Mallory Rae Murphy while she attends SMU? Something like Ex-Porn Starlet? Not sure she qualifies as a Texas cow does she? If it ain't grits, it must be a Yankee.

If you're going to lay her head over the pool table and fuck her throat, get your fucking hand off her throat!

It's perfectly obvious Sarah Palin has mad cow's disease. That would explain everything. Of course we all know what happens to mad cows. Hopefully she will be painlessly put down (or preferably, painfully destroyed).

I think she's just another power-hungry politician. Failing any future electoral victories she'll probably just continue to do anything that pads her bank account. She comes off as an arrogant bimbo and it is very easy to make fun of her (I know I've made my fair share of jokes) but she's probably laughing all the way to the bank. My favourite quote of the year so far from Channel 4's 10 O' Clock Live show. On Sarah Palin - "the only Horseman of the Apocalypse you could conceivably maintain an erection while gazing in the eye."
