Game of Thrones Any predictions as to how this season will go? I think that Jamie will die in battle and Cersei will die in childbirth. The baby will marry the child of Jon Snow and Daenerys. This will unite the rival houses. Then again this show has had so many surprises that I may very well be way off and none of this will happen. | |

Huh, I honestly hadn't thought of Cersei dying in childbirth but now that I think about it, that's completely plausible. I think either Daenerys or Jon Snow will die but I can't tell which. I am excited for them to realise their related hahahaha | |

The one thing Cersei has against Tyrion is that he killed their mother in childbirth. No matter what he says or does, she finds that to be unforgivable. This would be the ultimate poetic justice. So far her being pregnant seems to not be well connected to the rest of the story. As for Jon and Daenerys, they are both Targaryens. Their downfall was to a large degree due to the amount of incestuous offspring. More poetic justice if their offspring helped save the world. | |

I watched the first episode! It was good - setting up the stage for whatever is going to come next. I didn't catch up on any of the other episodes so I spent a lot of the episode going 'ooooh that's this dude.' Not going to lie, if I was a peasant living up in the North, I would grab some horse and just ride down as furthest south as possible. These White Walkers are terrifying. | |

Spoiler alert: Arya falls in love with the Night King (he is not only handsome, but powerful, which are qualities she admires). They have lots of White Walker babies. To protect her babies, Arya warns Jon Snow and Daenerys and Sansa to stay out of the way, because Arya is now the true Queen of the Five Kingdoms. Jon Snow, Daenerys and Sansa don't listen to Arya, which is their mistake. Arya's babies, trained in the way of White Walker and No-man killing teachings, hunt and kill Jon Snow, Daenerys and Sansa, because blood is thicker than water, especially when the blood is frozen. There is a great feast to celebrate when the Night King and Arya and their children invite all the nobles of the 5 kingdoms, which ends in a glorious blood bath of those nobles who refuse to bend the knee to the new ruling family. End of story. What a great ending. | |

Fake news: Now that I've revealed the ending of Game of Thrones, shall I reveal the end of Spartacus Unending? This is the highest rated TV show of the current season. I would talk more about Game of Thrones but I missed most of the previous season. My girlfriend has not seen any of it. Since I was distracted in the past while watching it, preferring Vikings at one point and with the Walking Dead shows, I just started over from the beginning so we can watch it together. We are just now to the middle of season 6, so another week or so and we will be caught up. My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. I hope we see some of our favorite characters survive until the end of the series because it would really suck to have some of our favorite characters survive seven years to then die when we are finally at the end. Long live the Brown Coats. | |

I agree it would suck, but in this show characters die like flies. I suspect most of the major characters will die, but heroically and memorably. | |

I don't know about the rest of you but this season and in some ways the previous one has been more of a let down than anything else. I know they had budget restraint because of the production cost getting higher with each season but man did this last one feel really rush and more confusing for it. They have to be applauded for doing something that is epic and while I'm not overly sad with the way the series ended. It leaves a lot to be desired. At least they didn't kill off every main character which for a while was something I feared might happen and while I may re-visit some of the past episodes. It's one of those series that if I never see another episode then I won't really care. It's not as bad as Lost which I got off the band wagon around season 3 or Battlestar Galactica which I sort of stopped caring about around season 2 because I was still on board until the end. I think a huge part of why I'm disappointed with the series is that to me the White Walker storyline was at the heart of the series and should have been the end point as oppose to who got to rule the Seven Kingdoms but after 7 seasons of the WW threat getting bigger and bigger. They were all dispatched in a single episode which sort of makes them less impressive than the previous episode went out of their way to make them. Long live the Brown Coats. | |

I haven't signed any petitions demanding a new final season, but I found the ending very anti-climactic. They tried to tie up so many loose ends that it felt rushed and lackluster. ***SPOILER ALERT*** I particularly hated the bit with Brienne writing in the book about Jamie. Knight or not - would she really be wearing a metal breastplate indoors sitting down at a table doing fancy calligraphy? A real eye rolling moment for me - too cheesy. Actually, there was all kinds of cheesiness - which makes for great nachos, but not great television. ***END OF SPOILER*** I would have preferred if the Night King had wiped out almost all of them as a result of their in-fighting. And then Jon and a few others could have escaped to the other side of the wall to start afresh. Yes, it would have pissed off some (or a lot of) people because we'd have never known whether the survivors thrived or died. But it would have fit the show's tendency to mix death and destruction with glimmers of hope and the resiliency of the human spirit. There were clues all over the show for the last two years. When they started talking about how everyone was going to die, I thought that one person alone, trained as an assassin must have a destiny to fulfill. What would an assassin do in a battle? Lots of soldiers, but only one assassin. | |
