A thought on membership costs and up sales In my opinion all the sites get it wrong. Anyone who has had a membership in the last , say ten month, should get a DEEP discount on the next membership as they are just checking back to look at the new stuff and not hanging around to download the many older flicks that they have already downloaded! Perhaps even a one week trial BUT ONLY for those who have already taken a full membership. Simply give all new monthly or longer members a code at signup that is good for ten months. While I'm on a roll, it seems to me that site costs are creeping up. I think it's downright dishonest to be charging additional for 4k , but especially downloads. It might be wrong, but most sites do not give a discount on a re-curring membership. That's just the way it is. The same principle goes for cable subscribers, newspaper subscriptions, magazine subs, etc. They almost all give a lower rate for new subs, than for members who choose to renew their memberships. Loyalty is not rewarded. Instead, it's penalized. Sad, but true. | |

^Pretty much every membership I have had offered a discount if I was willing to stay a member beyond the first month and it was usually half the cost of a full membership. ^^The problem with sites doing something like that is that it would be a lose lose for everyone involved because the site would see significantly less money coming in and all members would get less porn because the site got less money. People that are willing to pay for their porn usually don't mind the price they pay for it and the ones that don't want to pay for it find sources where they can get it for free. I'm willing to pay for my porn but I certainly do mind the price. Most sites I join these days are on discounted deals between $5 - $15 and never stay longer than a month where the price increases. It's been nearly two and a half years since I paid more than $20 for any site. I guess I'm about 50/50 these days between what I pay for and what I download from free sites. | |

^ I'd say price is a major factor. Along with quality and quantity of content. Then other factors: How easy is the site to use: Ease of navigation. Zip files for photosets. Update rate. Are logins and member pages secure (https). Clear member pages, not cluttered with ads. Excellent model listing. Download speeds. etc. | |

^^Perspective on cost of porn is something that you can only have if you are of a certain age like myself because I belong to the generation who first saw porn on a big screen and then on VHS tapes. Movie tickets weren't as high as today but salaries weren't as high either. Cost of rental was decent but you still spent probably 5$ for one VHS tape which you had for a couple of days. 25$ got you 5 tapes so at most about 20 scenes but porn producers were better at lying about the content and there was no way to know what you rented until you got home. Today you spend 25$ and get at least hundreds of videos and you can keep watching them once you save them to your HD. Long live the Brown Coats. | |

I mind how much I pay and usually seek out a discount from one of the porn discount sites, but if one isn't forthcoming after many months, then I'll take the plunge at full price but that's been the case for me with only one site (oldje.com) that I joined for a month during which they offered me a 33% discount on their sister site which I also took. There's a site I was interested in that cost $84.95 and somehow I found a discount for $19.95 on the site itself, just by googling, so that was a no-brainer. Another site I've had my eye on is $39.85 as I'd seen some content from it here and there and it was pretty hot, but after spending some time going through all scene listings in the free/tour part of the site, decided it wasn't worth even searching or waiting for a discount offer. The deepest discounts seem to be the up-sells to existing members to convert to a year membership. | |

There are a number of sites that will give you an offer on a discount when you go to cancel. I've gotten some great deals that way. What's in it for the site? They get a continued membership, don't have to pay for advertising to find a new member. | |
