IE 10 - Not Bad There were a number of updates available to me when I checked tonight, including IE 10. I figured, "Oh, well - here goes nothing." I decided to download it along with the various security updates that Microsoft had available, have had a little experience with it - it's not bad at all. It's geared to showing as much of the web page as possible, not taking a bunch of room with toolbars, etc, which is good. It seems simple and speedy and what else could one want from a browser? The one that's on my thumbs-down list these days is Chrome, due to its inability to play nice with Flash

I mainly use Firefox. It seems simple to use. Very rarely I use IE, if Firefox is giving me a problem. I can't stream or play movies at Amazon.com using Firefox. I used to be able to, but then Firefox stopped playing/streaming movies at Amazon several months ago. I tried to update the Flash player, but that didn't help. But I can play/stream Amazon movies with IE.

Considering most of us, me included, are on Windows operating systems, it seems kind of odd to say it, but I avoid any Micro$haft product I can. I've never trusted the security and never liked the lack of cookie control with IE so the only thing I've used it for is to update Windows. If Firefox doesn't do it, I go to Opera. Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

If you look at these browser use statistics, you have to wonder what has taken Microsoft so long to make IE less awful. I haven't read their mission statement, but it might as well champion the "reactive" (vs. proactive) approach to product innovation. But hey, that would hardly be news. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I avoid IE unless I have to. I will not use Google due to their massive tracking they do. Firefox I use mostly and works well with private browsing software. Like Torbrowser and has nice script blockers. ( not to be confused with Torrents I don't do those ) Since 2007

I wasn't aware it still existed. Who knew? "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hardcore Commie works." - Gen. Jack D. Rippper, Dr. Stranglove

They mainly promoted IE 10 for Windows 8, but the reviews say that it's pretty solid under-the-hood. It's certainly a world more stable than fucking Chrome, that's for sure! Microsoft is amazingly inconsistent for such a huge company. Vista was a crap OS, Windows 7 is quite good, then Windows 8 seems to have been their attempt to create an Apple-style closed universe without having anything appealing about it, so it's a disaster from a PR perspective. We recently had to go to Office 2010 at work and excel on 2010 is just a freaking disaster - you can consume all your system resources just trying to sort a simple spreadsheet. And there are 100's of threads railing about it. Have they patched it in 3 years to fix the problems - hell, no. They're imbeciles 1/2 the time, competent the other 1/2.
